WALK TO SCHOOL OCTOBER 2019! We have had many children make an effort to walk at least part of the way to school or walk on our D.C.G. during

our Walk to School October. Last Thursday Jessica from the Brimbank Council organised fresh fruit for our children

during their D.C.G. walk, which they happily devoured! We are walking to school for the rest of October.

Dear Families,

We encourage you to look at your child’s SeeSaw posts and discuss with your child about his/her

learning. You may like to ask…

Tell me what is happening in your SeeSaw post?

What were you trying to learn?

What new learning happened?

What did you most enjoy from this learning?

If you have problems getting access to SeeSaw, please contact the office for support.

NO HAT – NO PLAY A reminder that all children should be wearing the St. Paul’s hat when they are outside. Any students not wearing

the hats will be required to sit in the shaded area of the yard. No other hats are permitted to be worn. We encourage

families to apply sunscreen to their children at home before they leave for school.

Granary Cafe Grand Opening

On Monday I went to the Granary Cafe because I really wanted to go there.

I had never been to the Granary Cafe and I was told they put my artwork on

the wall. Also on the walls were other castles, a water drop with fish in it and

lots of other artworks by students from our school. I liked it because

Richard, my brother, said “Do you want a chocolate milkshake?” and I said

“Yes”. I felt good that my artwork was on the wall because my family went

with me and they were proud of me.

On Friday the 25th of October, St. Paul’s will be participating in the registered event

‘Day for Daniel’. This day supports our St. Paul’s Child Safety Awareness

Programs that are based on the Daniel Morcombe Child Safety Curriculum. On this

day, students are encouraged to wear something RED. Students will also be

continuing to work on the series of child safety awareness lessons planned and

delivered by their classroom teachers. These lessons promote and teach students to

Recognise, React and Report if they find themselves in situations that make them

feel unsafe. We encourage you to continue to talk to your child about what they are

learning in class. Some resources that you may find useful can be found on the

Daniel Morcombe website under 'Safety Resources' or by visiting

www.recognisereactreport.com.au .
