TELESPAZIO FRANCE
Telespazio France, the French subsidiary of Telespazio (Finmeccanica / Thales), is one of the
leading European providers of satellite services, from ground segment definition and satellite
operations to value added services.
With more than 350 employees, the company provides a full range of value-added services
derived from satellite solutions in telecommunications, geo-information (info-mobility and
Earth observation) and products and applications covering the full space value chain.
Based in Toulouse, Paris, Bordeaux and Kourou (French Guiana), Telespazio France performs
has been performing satellite orbit control and mission management operations for more
than 30 years. Our experts maintain and operate satellite monitoring stations and networks
on the sites of its institutional or private customers in France.
Our technical experts in systems and operations engineering provide support (consulting)
and develop specific applications in the domain of ground segment systems development,
simulation systems and innovative training solutions. In all its activities, Telespazio France,
with the support of the Telespazio group, relies on its acquired experience, operational and
technical expertise, and involvement in major space programs such as Galileo, EGNOS,
GMES, and COSMO-SkyMed.

around four Business Units.
Satellite Operations
The Operations Business Unit of Telespazio
France is an historic player in satellite
operations and associated network
maintenance. Telespazio France works on
behalf of CNES and Arianespace in
performing pre-launch operational analysis
and configuration of the main systems of the
European Spaceport: telemetry, launcher
localization, operational planning, and
telecommunications. With more than 140
engineers and technicians, Telespazio France
has taken part in all the launches of the
Ariane family for more than 30 years as well
as the Soyuz and Vega launches from the
Kourou site from the end of 2011. In
continental France, our teams provide
operational support for the control and
management of CNES and French MOD
satellites.
Network & Connectivity
Amongst the large number of solutions
proposed by Telespazio, the services
managed by the Network and Connectivity
Services Business Unit meet the specific
telecoms needs of sectors such as the oil
and mining operations, media, industry, large
distribution, administration, shipping, rail and
air transport. Using its international teleports
and its secure networks, interoperable with
the existing systems, Telespazio offers end-
to-end hosting services, logistic support,
operations, and maintenance. Our teams
provide additional services for applications
such as distance training, e-learning,
telemedicine, and territorial protection.
Geo-Information
Telespazio’s Geo-Information Business Unit is
one Europe’s largest suppliers of satellite
data and value added products / services in
various fields such as environmental survey,
maritime surveillance, and infrastructure
monitoring. As a worldwide distributor of
high-resolution radar images supplied by the
Italian COSMO-SkyMed system, Telespazio
offers an innovative range of operational
management services and geo-located
information, accessible by Internet. From our
EarthLab environment monitoring center
based in Latresne close to Bordeaux,
Telespazio France e develops and provides
services for professionals in sectors such a
Viticulture, Forestry and Coastal Surveillance
by combining remote sensing assets from
satellites and UAVs and fixed or mobile in situ
sensors.
Telespazio, a major player in Europe of
satellite navigation systems and location
services, is actively involved in the EGNOS
and Galileo systems.
Satellite Systems & Applications
Our Ground Segment and Application
Business Unit relies on its expertise in image
ground segments, 3D modeling for
visualization, and processing of geospatial
data. Telespazio channels this expertise into
the context of crisis management and
decision-making applications in the Nuclear,
Defense, Civil Protection and Homeland
Security domains and in scientific algorithms
and simulation & training in the Aeronautics,
Defense, and Space domains.
