Kindergarten Technology Back in early 1990’s,
there was no computer in my classroom
When I was in kindergarten, I remember watching many different shows on TV
QuickTime™ and a decompressor
are needed to see this picture.
High School Technology When I started high
school, I finally own my first computer, an iMac
Owned iMac because my high school is equipped with iMacs only (no PCs in sight)
“i” in iMac stands for Internet
College technology I saw the smartboard for
the first time when I became a student at Gallaudet University
Smartboard is the digital replacement of overhead projector
Use with computer to show to the class
Easier to show PowerPoint presentation
A Vivid TechnologyLearning Experience
iMac helps me find information that I need to find
Internet helps my knowledge to grow
Earth is the picture of my knowledge about world by Internet
A Technology I Want to Use in My Classroom Sorenson videophone
(VP) I want this in my
classroom so I can show the deaf students how VP actually works in videoconferencing
This was a technological breakthrough for Deaf community
My Vision of the Classroom of the Future
An hologram Can easily show the
actual objects from the past in 3-D
Show the objects in 3-D viewing instead of pictures in books
Will be technologically advanced!!
Learning can become more fun
A Challenge for Teaching Some technology are
too complicated for students to use
Some technology can be expensive
Sometimes digital technology isn’t enough
