Technical Specification

Being able to attribute environmental and quality values to a product is of increasing importance. Following the commission of our micro hydro turbine in 2010 we instructed independent verification and certification expert, Lucideon CICS (formerly CICS) to verify a selection of our paving range against PAS 2050.

PAS 2050 is the specification for the assessment of the life cycle greenhouse gas emissions of goods and services (BSi).

We tested our Forest of Dean Pennant sandstone paving (sawn finish) in various sizes (50mm, 65mm, 75mm and 100mm thickness). It was a ‘cradle to gate’ exercise and included the extraction of the stone material at our quarry and all on-site processes and associated emissions.
