Gasparilla Half Marathon

Hey Mark, No photos...however I did a 2:01 on the half. Of course the wind helped blow me through the finish line! Take care and thanks for all you do! Lynn Gray I wore my tri top for the half and my TOTM shirt at the water stop. Jay Gallagher This was my first one under your guy's colors! Im not sure who I was supposed to send my times to, but i ran the half in 1:37:51. And i had a blast on saturday morning volunteering. Thanks for the oppurtunity! Kasey Feltner I ran half in 1:44:54 11 mins better than last year. Carolyn ran half in 1:57, 9mins better than last year. Bill & Carolyn Meadows I got 1:58:13 on the half. Not a PR, but close, and a great time consid-ering the conditions. Jay Gallagher I am so excited to say that I broke the 2 hr barrier. My time was 1:59:22. Yeah!!! So many people say that as they get older they need to plan to go slower. I started running 12 years ago and have only gotten faster (for me). This was my second PR in a row !!! Hello,

My name is Kyra Sweeney. I am the Vice President of the Leaders Club at the

James P. Gills Family YMCA. Leaders Club is a volunteer organization com-

mitted to service and outreach opportunities in the community.

As a member of Leaders Club I have the chance to attend YMCA Blue Ridge

Leaders' School.

Blue Ridge Leaders School located in Black Mountain, North Carolina, brings

together a select group of hard working teen volunteers from YMCAs across

the country. These teens consistently form long-lasting friendships through a

week of character building activities, physical conditioning and leadership

skills development. Blue Ridge Leaders School is a physical education training

school profoundly structured with high standards of behavior, physical partici-

pation, and individual performance. For nearly a century Blue Ridge has been

training generations of leaders. Attending this school is an amazing life-

changing opportunity.

To help raise funds for this trip the Leaders Club is participating in a Run-A-

Thon on Saturday, January 28. Please sponsor
