Canada in the 19th century: War of 1812, the expansion of the West Confederation (1867), Macdonald's National Policy, The North-West Rebellion of 1885, Immigration at the turn of the Century, Laurier's leadership, and the lead up to World War I.

Students take Grade 10 History at the age of 15. World War One (causes, Canada's role)The 1920s (the bubble of prosperity, new inventions)The 1930s (causes of The Depression, life on the Prairies)World War Two (causes, Canada's role, The Holocaust) The Cold War (rebuilding after WW2, new superpowers, the Korean War, life in the 1950s - suburbia, prosperity, the arrival of the teenager, post-war immigration)

Students can choose courses such as:

World History to the 16th Century (grade 11 course that covers ancient civilizations up to the early 1500s), American History (grade 11), The West and the World (grade 12 course that covers the 1500s up to WW1). There is also a grade 12 Canadian History course that focuses more on the politics and economics of Canada.
