I believe teaching …

Teaching is a way of life, not just a profession. Teaching provides the opportunity to be a positive and motivational influence in someone else's life. It provides the opportunity to share a love of learning to others. The achievements that come from quality teaching last for a lifetime.

I believe learning …

• Is a intuitive activity for children. • Is something that all children want to do in order to

satisfy their natural curiosity. • Should always be fun and meaningful. • Should provide students with the skills and

processes they will need to participate in a full and happy life within the community.

The ideal classroom…

• Is supportive of all student’s needs. • A place where students feel welcome, respected and valued. • Encourages students to try their best and to participate in all

activities. • Promotes an atmosphere where students feel comfortable to

make mistakes and learn from these mistakes.

Quality education …

• Is education that is meaningful and relevant to student’s lives. • Prompts students to ask questions and sees them create,

explore or discover the answers to these questions. • Should be available to all students.• Does not require the use of new, flash or expensive

equipment.• Is achievable in all classrooms.
