Guro Jason Cruz Seminar at Taylor Martial Arts Dojo of Moreno Valley 25, 2009 The Seminar was hosted by Sensei Dan Taylor of Taylor Martial Arts. This was Guro Jason Cruz’s 2 nd time doing a Seminar for Taylor Martial Arts Dojo of Moreno Valley, Ca. Accompanying Guro Jason Cruz were Guro Jeff Gadigan, and Guro Chris Cruz. The attendance of this Seminar was much larger than the previous Seminar. With returning participants to new, Friday Evening was fun and energetic. We had a mixed crowd of ethnicities, styles, and ages. The Dojo was so packed that the group had to split into another room. It was amazing to see the participants learning new techniques while learning about the Philippine Islands battle proven form of martial arts. Guro Jason Cruz started with introducing himself and spoke about what Universal Kali is. Universal Kali is your own unique individual expression of martial arts with a base of FMA. Due to every person having different characteristics and attributes practitioners will use that works for them. What works for one person might not work for another. FMA teaches the practitioner to have a warrior mindset. Not only physically but mentally. Mentally you can use your mind to FIGHT the daily battles of life. For example getting out of bed, watching what you eat, doing your job, controlling your emotions, to succeed in school or any endeavor, to finish what you started, cleaning the garage, and the list is endless. FMA teaches the practitioner to have a warrior mindset. The Seminar started with single stick strikes, then to the empty hands, then to double stick, then to knife tactics. Guro Jeff was amazed to see how fast the participants learned the techniques. Once you explore the art and all it has to offers you can see just how complete and effective Filipino Martial Arts really are. Ending the Seminar, Guro Jason Cruz handed out certificates to the participants for their training that night. And had a special gift for the Host Sensei Dan Taylor. For Sensei Dan Taylor, Sensei Ron, and Guro Jason Cruz Jason Cruz, Guro Jeff, Sensei Dale, and Guro Chris Cruz
