Conventional Target Audience

• The age of a person who watches these films vary considering the genre can be related to in different ways, although the most common ages are of 18+ and consist of both genders, but mainly male. There are many disturbing features involved in the conventions of a psychological film as it often manipulates the audiences mind and leaves them bewildered.

• Often warning emblems are displayed on the back of a DVD cover to ensure that the audience is aware of what is about to come e.g. contains extreme violence or some sort of other unsuitable content for the younger members.

My Target Audience

The audience which we are aiming to appeal to with our film are people who fall into the age range of teenagers (13+) to young adults (18-21) which fall into both male and female genders.

The short-film itself will have a rating of certified 15 because the movie will contain aspects of violence and character with psychological problems yet isn’t significant enough to be considered an age rated 18.

Often, short-films are watched by students studying media, film directors, and hopefuls trying to enter the film industry.
