There are two varieties of Dragons, a Hybrid Class is a “Western Dragon,” so we need to be prepared.

F2F and Online ClassesHYBRIDS
WHAT ARE WE FACING? GRAB YOUR SWORD AND START SLICING!
• Regardless of which you teach OL or F2F content gets divided in half.• FRCC put HYBRIDS under F2F Administration/Control.• HYBRID instructors are not required to be OL certified/trained• Most will be migrating a F2F to a HYBRID with NO online experience.• D2L shell construction experience is essential to success.• F2F classroom experience is highly recommended. (teaching).• OL classroom experience is highly recommended. (taking or teaching)• 3 hour class with 1.25 in F2F setting and you create 1.25 online.• Online discussions are not required but highly recommended. (30%)• Online peer review of a project/paper is highly recommended• Workload for students must be equivalent of a 3 hour class.• Assessment must be as rigorous as for a F2F or OL class.
