Water temperature monitoringLegionnaires' disease is a potentially fatal type of pneumonia, contracted by inhaling airborne water droplets containing viable Legionella bacteria.

Where nutrients are available, the bacteria multiply at temperatures between 20-45°C and at pH levels between 5.5 to 9.2.  

Following a recent Legionnaires outbreak, every tap, shower and water system in every Queensland Hospital was tested.

The Solutions

1 . Sensors Temperature sensors are installed directly into refrigerated appliances by running a small probe through the door of the unit.

2. Gateway Sensor information is received via RF frequency instantly by the gateway connected to a an internet capable PC. A single gateway can support up to 30 sensors depending on the distance needed to cover.

3. Admin Data is received from all sensor

locations where it can be analysed and reported on. Customisable alerts can

also be created and sent to designated staff if thresholds are breached.

Refrigerated temperature monitoring

1 . Sensors Temperature sensors are installed directly into pipe system by way of a T-Junction fitting. The third outlet is used to screw the sensor directly into the pipe ensuring that pressure is maintained without the risk of blow outs.

2. Gateway Sensor information is received via RF frequency instantly by the gateway connected to a an internet capable PC. A single gateway can support up to 30 sensors depending on the distance needed to cover.

3. Admin Data is received from all sensor

locations where it can be analysed and reported on. Customisable alerts can

also be created and sent to designated staff if thresholds are breached.
