Introduction to the Company
The brand identity is the face of a brand. It reflects the attributes of the organization and what is stands for. Hence,
brand manual enables us to build and maintain a constant treatment of the attributes that define the brand. It is our
endeavour through this manual to ensure that a consistent expression of our positioning and strategy is maintained
while using the collaterals.
Essentials of a brand comprises of the name, logo and typography which together make up for all the communications.
Brand manual defines on how to use each element in the communications. Brand identity eventually is summary of all
the principles and elements combined together.
Used accurately and consistently over time, it will help establish build the brand with the audiences.

What's the use of Brand Identity?
The Hindustan Power logo reflects the intent of organization to showcase its energy potentiay. The word 'Hindustan'
gives a nationalistic flavour and the word 'power' shows the intent and the focus of the organization. The power
mnemonic therefore combines the patriotic feel (Hindustan) with the nation's role of supplying and creating power for
the nation. (Power)
Additionally, the use of colour blue and red in the logo projects reliability and energy. Red colour portrays the color of
energy while blue assures the responsibility that the brand promises to hold. Clearly stating the HindustanPower logo
as trustworthy and dynamic representation of the brand.

Colour usage plays a very important role in communicating brand's image and
promise.
The colour usage must be used in the correct ratio as mentioned to maintain the
visibility of the logo.
Hindustan Power logo is developed based on these corporate colors – Red & Blue
with the typeface – Arial and Zurich. The below mentioned combination will be
used in all the communications (Internal & External)

Hindustan Power logo should be used in full colours whenever
possible to maximise the appearance of the logo.
Full color logo with light background.
In the event, it original colours mentioned are not available,
the following below given options shall be used for:
a) Newsprint
b) Engraving
c) Embossing
d) Debossing
e) Printing
Do not distort or adjust the proportions of the logo.
Do not modify the artwork or substitute it with
another typeface.
Do not add any special effects.
Do not add outline on the logo.
Do not alter the colour specifications of the logo.
Do not eliminate any elements of the logo.
Do not change the
position of the elements of
the logo.
Do not rotate the logo.
Hindustan powerproject logo must be used in its correct
original form. Colours and sizes are mentioned in the
guideline manual specified by the company.

If that is not possible the logo must have a white, red or black box around it.
