However, a neighboring parish recently discontinued its Sunday evening Mass permanently, and that Mass does fill a need for those like police officers, medical professionals, etc., whose job responsibilities may not permit them to get to Mass earlier. So, as announced last weekend, we will continue the Sunday evening Mass through the summer months. + + + The middle of May saw the conclusion of our religious education program for the 2016-2017 school year. I am most grateful to Cathy Fife, who, with the able assistance of Clorinda Doherty, oversees every facet of the program and keeps everything on track. The Eucharist is celebrated on weekdays in the chapel: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 6:30am
Wednesday at 5:15pm, followed by adoration until 9:00pm
Saturday at 8:00am
Sacrament of Penance (Confession) Saturday, 4:00 - 4:45pm
Thursday before the first Friday, 4:00 - 4:30pm
Sacrament of Baptism The sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on the first and second Sundays of the month at 1:30pm. Couples who are awaiting the birth of a child are invited to contact the par-ish office to schedule an appointment with one of the priests.
Sacrament of the Sick
The sacrament of the sick is available to anyone who is acutely or chronically ill, or suffering the effects of age. Please speak with one of the priests.

This Friday, July 7th is First Friday. Confessions will be heard Thursday,
July 6th from 4:00-4:30 p.m. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will begin after the 6:30 a.m. Mass and continue until Saturday
morning at 8:00 a.m. There is a sign up sheet where you can list the time you wish
to spend with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Remember the Blessed Sacrament should never
be left unattended.
Today we are collecting for the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa. Your gifts to this collection make a
real difference in the lives of so many faithful across the African continent. So many in Africa face a reality of
hardship due to migration, poverty and lack of infrastructure. Catholic education is important not only to help children grow in knowledge and understanding
but also spiritually. Your gifts to the collection give them the hope of Christ and show the love of our
universal Church. To learn more about the Solidarity Fund visit www.usccb.org/africa.
Please remember to pray daily for an increase in vocation to the priesthood and religious life.

A Feast Day Celebration for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel will be held on
Sunday, July 16th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish Church, 90 Euclid Ave. Middletown, NY at 11:30am. Mass will be followed by a procession to Our Lady of
Mt. Carmel outdoor shrine on the grounds of The National Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, followed by lunch and a Scriptural Rosary in the Shrine church. Lunch will baked ziti, meatballs,
sausage/peppers, salad, bread & dessert. Lunch cost is $20(adults) and $5(children 12 and under) and
reservations can be made by calling Carol Bezak, Shrine Director at 845-343-1879 or Dottie Lanos,
