Symbiotic Relationships
Symbiotic Relationshipsis one in which organisms, people, or
things exist together in a way that benefits them all. Symbiotic
relationships can be Obligate or Facultative. Obligate Symbiosis is
when two organisms are in a symbiotic relationships because they
cant survive without each other. Facultative Symbiosis is when
species live together by choice.

The wordsymbiosisliterally means living together but when we use
the wordsymbiosisin biology, what we're really talking about is
aclose, close interactions between two or more different
species.

MutualismRefers to a relationship in biology or sociology that
is mutually beneficial to two living things.
AmensalismIs any relationship between organisms of different
species in which one organism is inhibited or destroyed while the
other organism remains unaffected.
ParasitismIs a relationship where one species benefits while the
other is harmed.
CommensalismIs an association between two different species
where one species enjoys a benefit, and the other is not
significantly affected.
