6. Connect:• Ziziphus spina-christi, the Christ's Thorn Jujube is an

evergreen tree native to northern and tropical Africa and southern and Western Asia. It grows in Israel in valleys up to an elevation of 500m. It has significance to Jews, Christians and Muslims, and is by some traditions the tree from which Jesus's Crown of Thorns was made. The ripe fruits are edible and the flowers are an important source of honey in Eritrea and Yemen.

• Sidrat al-Muntaha is a Lote tree that marks the end of the seventh heaven, the boundary where no creation can pass, according to Islamic beliefs. Muhammad, being the only one allowed, travelled with the archangel Gabriel to the Sidrat al-Muntaha where it is said that Allah assigned the five daily prayers to all Muslims.
