Please remember that all these actvities are subject to change so flexibility is important, and will depend on how many volunteers are there during the week, project availability, weather, previous prograss, etc. One unique aspect of this program is that you will see most locals and volunteers take a cold shower in the early afternoon to help manage in the hot climate. Volunteers should expect to work roughly 6 hours a day. You will have about two hours of unstructured free time, and several cultural awareness exercises througout the week. Approximately 50% of the budget of your program fee goes to Mahout salaries and elephant food.
