Sustainable Global Sourcing is a for-profit company committed to the transformation of the global apparel manufacturing industry from worker exploitation and environmental degradation to partnership and environmental sustainability. They leverage partnerships with producers along a fair trade supply chain in developing countries and provide organic cotton garments to retailers in developed nations at a competitive cost. They have a partnership with the Liberian Women’s Sewing Project, a worker owned women’s sewing factory in Liberia, and also a nonprofit organization devoted to the empowerment of women in Liberia. These partnerships allow SGS to create living wage jobs that contribute to the economic growth and well being of the Liberian people.
