What does “organic” mean?

• Food grown/raised that promotes biodiversity & biological cycles

• To be labeled “organic” food has to comply with guidelines set by the USDA “Organic Rule”

• Growing trend throughout agriculture in the U.S. (i.e. graph on next slide)
