SEI Timeline 2007: Training the Trainer workshopTHE PONDEROSA PROJECT AT NORTHERN ARIZONA UNIVERSITY

2008: Secured $25,000 from SO; started planning UBC Sustainability Education Intensive

2009: Successfully delivered the first SEI

SEI Basics I• 1st ever SEI: May 31-June 2, 2009

• Open to post-secondary educators (faculty; post-docs; staff; students), UBC & beyond

• Collaborative planning team: TAG & SO

• Advisory committee (all roles represented)

SEI Learning Objectives 

After the Intensive, through self-study, access to electronic resources, financial assistance (to UBC participants) and participation in Group Support Studios, you will have:  * Applied or enhanced sustainability into your course, program or initiative  * Joined a community of practitioners to continue the conversation about sustainability education

SEI Learning Objectives 

During the SEI, you will:

* Create a Sustainability Education Plan to affect change in your course, program or initiative and start a timeline and framework to achieve your goals * Select pedagogies, sustainability concepts and sustainability initiatives/opportunities of relevance to your plan for further exploration  * Participate actively in techniques and strategies that are modeled throughout the SEI
