General/System New Installation Process >>SURFCAM 2015 R2 has adopted the new Vero Software installer which can install multiple components during the installations process. The new Vero installer will install:

• SolidLink–ThecoreengineforCADfileimports

• CLS 2015 – The license manager updated for 2015

• SURFCAM – The required pre-requisites and SURFCAM 2015 R2


To start the process, simply click “Install SURFCAM 2015 R2”


Functionality Enhancements to Layer Support >>• SURFCAM 2015 now provides support for up to 1000 layers and 256 characters for

layer names.• More layers now to organize CAD geometry with longer and more descriptive layer

names.



Functionality Enhancements to Color Support >>• SURFCAM 2015 now provides support for up to 1000 colors.• Provides a broader custom color palette.



Functionality Inline Code as a Separate Operation >>• SURFCAM 2015 now supports inline code in the Operations Manager as an

independent operation.• Inline Code remains unaffected when regenerating toolpaths.



Functionality New 2 Axis Pocket Roughing Toolpath >>• SURFCAM 2015 now provides a new high speed, high material removal rate,

roughing strategy for 2 Axis Advanced Edition customers and above.

• Increased material removal rates now included in a 2 Axis environment.



Functionality Toolpath Highlighting >>• SURFCAM 2015 now provides highlighting of any toolpath when selected from the

Operations Manager.• Graphically locate toolpaths easily from the Operations Manager on the screen.
