Getting there

Attracting millions of visitors every year Liverpool is easily accessible across the country and overseas via an extensive network of road, rail, air and sea links. Within easy access of major motorways, including the M62 and M6, travelling to Liverpool by road is simple and direct. Liverpool John Lennon Airport is located only 7 miles from the city centre and connects to 750 worldwide destinations via KML airlines. Liverpool Lime Street train station is set in the heart of the city and offers direct connections to Manchester and access to London in 2 hours. Those arriving via cruise ships or ferry can do so via the City of Liverpool Cruise Terminal and Pier Head Ferry Terminal.

Getting around

Liverpool’s vibrant and compact city centre is easy to navigate, with regular ferry crossings, a superb train network and frequent bus services, getting around this fabulous city is simple. Mersey Ferries provides transport across the famous Mersey, with three terminals Liverpool’s Pier Head, plus Seacombe and Woodside on the Wirral you can enjoy tour on the boat or simply cross to the other side of the river. Merseyrail offers a great service for those wanting to get out and explore the Liverpool area and beyond.

Liverpool Attractions

Immerse yourself in Liverpool’s rich music heritage at the popular Beatles Story. Spread over two sites at the Albert Dock and Pier Head, the Beatles Story takes you on an enlightening journey into the life, culture and music of the Beatles. Alternatively, enjoy some culture at the Tate Liverpool, explore the largest collection of Grade I listed buildings at the Albert Docks or admire the cities two magnificent cathedrals situated at either end of Hope Street. Further afield, there’s Sefton Park, Blue Planet Aquarium and Knowsley Safari Park where you can explore the wild side of Liverpool.
