Partnerships Unit

The Partnerships Unit engages with partners from state, county, public,

private, volunteer and philanthropic agencies, as well as higher education

institutions and faith-based communities working towards a greater

collective impact for Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) students,

families, and MCPS staff.

The Partnerships Unit has a direct connection to the Superintendent’s office

to share the pulse of the business community and ideas that arise.

Summer RISE

Overview

▪ Led by the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Partnerships Unit in collaboration with businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations

▪ Opportunity for rising MCPS juniors and seniors

▪ Since 2017, 1,171 students have participated in Summer RISE

INFORMATION & LOGISTICS

July 6 – 31, 2020

Flexible schedule | 3-4 weeks | 60-80 hours | 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Summer RISE will be advertised to rising juniors and seniors and to students currently in career readiness programs

Validate that the student has completed a minimum of 60 hours

Hosts can express interest in students who speak different languages

TIPS FOR HOSTS
