Working with Secretaries

Hello Treasurers,As a treasurer it is important to work in close contact with your club secre-tary. Though you are in charge of fiscal records, it is important that you send these records to your club secretary so that he or she can have a reference for his or her paperwork. You should always remind your club secretary about the amount raised for a service project., work hand in hand. It will prove to be helpful. A big reminder. Never handle money alone. You do not want to be held accountable for missing money or things of that sort. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or Emily (depending on what you need). Take advantage of the wonderful resources provided by the district website. They will be helpful in your term of service. Please keep up with your work and of course remember to have a great summer!Yours in the spirit of service,District Secretary, Daniel Ivan [email protected]

Summer. Finally, please stay in

Wow! It’s hard to believe a service year and school year has come and gone. I must say, I’m proud of the mighty New York District for all the service done and the money raised, and all the goals reached and surpassed. It has been an honor

working for the district and I want to thank you for giving me this opportunity and giving me this wonderful year. You, as Key Clubbers, have taught me that nothing is impossible when you passionately care about a cause.

On that note—keep caring! Though the year has ended, service has not. The transition from one District Treasurer to the next is not exactly smooth, and the dis-

trict needs you to stay active and on top of your work to ease the transition. Keep sending in your additional dues, whether they’re on time or not. Keep sending in your Fundraising Report Forms and proofs, because we need them to keep track of progress. Keep caring, because, though you may be on summer vacation, the world is not, and it still needs you.

importantly trade district pins (kidding).

As District Treasurer, I was trained at this ICON. From the training I garnered many new ideas to bring back to you. Some of which are making a training video to give to treasurer who can not attend a Fall Rally, and some many more. It defiantly will assist me in being the

One a year all of Key Club International comes together at a conference. It is in different loca-tions each year, last year it was in Memphis, TN, this year it was in Phoenix, AZ, and next year it is in Orlando, FL. It is a kick off to the upcoming Key Club year. We elect our new International Officers, attended many workshops, and most

best District Treasurer possible for all of you. I learned the proper way to collect dues and when to. I plan on working with many other District Treasurers across Key Club Interna-tional to get more ideas from them!

With my new knowledge I can now give you more assistance and give more accurate answer to questions. All you need to do is ask!

what you said in the FRF. Think of it like what you do in math when prov-ing two triangles congruent. You obvi-ously know the two triangle are congru-

ent but you need to have evidence. It is not because we don’t trust that what you said was incorrect but we need to have what you fundraised in two places in-order to get credit. No proof with

your complete Fundraising Report form= no credit.

What exactly can proof be? It can be all sorts of things, it is insisted that is be a copy of the check you are sending to who the money

was raised for. It can also be a letter from the benefitting organization, an expense report from the check being made out. Try to stay away from articles and hand written things.

When in doubt of what proof can be, contact me!

If your anything like I was last year then you may not know what I am talking about, but never fear I am hear to tell you! A proof is

something that proves the fundrais-ing you stated on the Fundraising Report form is the actual amount raised.

The reason behind proofs is to ensure that the fundraised amount and location are the same as

Proof?
