Business Pain & Challenges Pulse is a custom-built knowledge management system used by Tata Sky’s customer support team of more than 10,000 executives spread across 30+ locations who handle customer queries around billing, installation, subscription & recharge plan options etc. The legacy application was built on Oracle & Liferay and used Websphere as the application server. The application had performance challenges in day-to-day operations like updating any content or handling too many concurrent logins during shift change. In addition to addressing these issues, Tata Sky also wanted to get rid of license cost of software being used for the platform.
