Colour schemes

For my front page, I will pick the first colour scheme because red and yellow make things stand out and attract readers. My contents page and double page will contain the second and the fourth colour scheme. Black, white and red colours will then be repeated from the front page, but I will also have some blue to have some variation. My research told that the main audience are girls, so I thought I could use a purple/pinkish colour, but I will not do that as it will not attract male readers.

FontsI am still unsure which font I am going to use for the masthead, but I think it will either be ‘capital daren’, ‘basic’ or ‘devil breeze’. For the coverlines and titles in the contents and double page I will use ‘revolution’. The main text on contents and double pages will be in ‘Times New Roman’ and some text on the front page will be that as well.

My front page will be of a girl and I will take different photos with different poses so I can choose later which of the pictures fits best. The photograph is going to be a medium long shot or a medium shot. She is either going to sit or stand with her legs turned a bit to the right. Her hair will be curly and she will wear a bandeau with a flannel shirt or denim jacket/vest over. In some of the photographs she will have a cigarette in her hands, shoes or other props.

My contents page will contain several photos from different distances. It will be photos of both girls and guys. Some of the models will look straight into the camera, others will look in other directions. I will take the pictures in the studio, outside and indoors.

My double page spread will contain a photograph in black and white of a guy which will either be a close up or a medium shot. The photograph will fill at least 50% of the page, maybe 2/3.
