Prize Distribution Awards for Academic Excellence, Subject Excellence and Excellence in Sports were presented to acknowledge Merit across Senior School.
Investiture ceremony On July 4th the entire senior school gathered at The
Manju Bharat Ram Hall for the Investiture of the
members of the junior Student Council, which had been
elected just before the school closed for the summer. It
was an impressive ceremony, dignified and formal, as the vice- captains of each house, secretaries of events, environment and sports, and members of
the editorial board received their badges and took the oath.

A career counselling session was held for students
of forms 10 and 11 and their parents on competitive international entrance examinations like PSAT,
SAT etc., their differences and the prudence of
applying at the right time. The queries of the
audience were addressed at the end of the session
which was enriching.

Shaunaka Rishi Das, Director of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, addressed the student body on the importance of respecting and knowing our rich heritage.
We were spellbound to hear the wisdom of the Director, who is from Wexford, Ireland, and who reinforced for us the core value of pride in one's heritage.
Exchange Programmmes - playing host to our guests from China
Societies July saw the launch of the societies for forms 9 - 12. This is a student initiative
and each society has a student leader and student mentors. The societies:
1. Literary - discussed what makes a story banal; read Sylvia Plath and
Frank O’ Hara
2. Environment - formed smaller groups, each working on an environmentally significant issue
3. Music - opened with a discussion of musical genres, timing and beats
4. Theatre - started with team building exercises and short plays on a
given theme.
5. Dance - began with ice-breaking exercises, discussion of favorite dance
forms; did a short choreography on contemporary dance.

classrooms and whole schools in UK, for
the staff of all the campuses of The Shri
Ram Schools on July 21 and 22 at The Manju
Bharat Ram Hall on the Aravali campus.

Ryan MUN – participation and Verbal and Special Mentions
Absurd Theory On the 21st of July, Abhishek Roy, Srivats Ramaswamy and Prerna Misra from Class
11S2 represented school in an absurd theory competition. Each team had to come up
with an innovative and bizarre scientific theory and then prove it using logic,
reasoning, and data. Our team's theory was 'Natural death emerged due to the
evolution of sexual reproduction', which the team supported and defended well
against the opponents' questions. One team tried to disprove the Bible, one spoke
of time dilation, one said that Earth will be ruled by insects. Our team won the first
prize. Abhishek was also awarded the best interjector award for attacking the
