Working BeeThere will be a working bee at the school this Saturday, 2 March at 9:00am-11am. We need to complete the irrigation system in all our garden beds and other garden based projects throughout the school. If you are able to give up some time on Saturday, to help it would be greatly appreciated as many hands make light work.Congratulations Zone SwimmersA huge congratulations to all who swam in the Zone Swimming Carnival on Friday. All I have heard was that our students tried so hard and their behaviour was perfect! What a credit to our school you all were. Congratulations to Flynn Royall who finished 3rd in 8yrs 50m freestyle. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the parents who came along to the carnival to support their child/children and the other students at Gunnedah Public. It makes such an enormous difference to students when they know that they have someone watching and supporting them. So please, if you are able to support our students at carnivals, gala days or assemblies, know that it is appreciated by all.Chook YardWe are starting to gather materials for our chook yard. The aim is to try and use as much recycled materials as we can, so if anyone has any chicken wire, corrugated iron or any other materials that we may be able to use to construct our chookyard, please contact the school. A picture of our design is below.
Namoi Partner Schools SportA reminder that all students will be participating in the NPS sport this Friday. All students will be reminded of what sport they will be attending by their classroom teacher this week. If you have not yet signed the permission note sent home Monday please do so and return to the school as soon as possible.Any questions do not hesitate to contact the school.Cathie McMaster, Principal
Chips n ChatOur lovely Chips n Chat sessions held each Thursday are very much valued by the
students who are invited to attend. The students receive their invitation from their teachers so a note can be sent home.
Families need to give permission and let us know of any food allergies so that the children selected can attend.
This note needs to be returned before Chips n Chat each week so if your child brings one home, please celebrate it and return the note promptly.

Positive Behaviour in LearningThis week our PBL focus is making good choices and students are gaining an understanding of the importance of choices. Students are reminded that if they make a bad choice, they can still make a good choice later on.
We are excited to see so many students attending 5 for 5 rewards. Students will be having ice cream and free play on Monday. The students attending have shown that they are consistently safe, respectful and responsible and have received 5 big value stickers. Notes will go home on Friday afternoon.
