College NightCollege Night is the most honored and beloved tradit ion at UM. As part of the annual Homecoming tradit ions, students declare allegiance to either Gold or Purple (UM’s school colors), and compete in athlet ic events, spirit compet it ions, and prepare original musical product ions.
Everything must be created by current students: scripts, music, lyric s, costumes, choreography, sets, and direct ion. The camaraderie necessary to produce a magnificent piece of art with limited t ime and limited resources bu ilds strong friendships. Students develop product ion and t ime management skills that challenge them in a way the classroom experience cannot match.
