"R & R" COLLECTION TO HELP WITH RENOVATIONS

OF THE POPE FRANCIS PARISH CENTER

Today's Second Collection is for the ongoing "Repair and Renovation" of our Church Buildings. The "R & R"

Collections will be helping us, in addition to the funds from the

Generations of Faith Campaign, to pay for the Renovation. We

ask all parishioners to be as generous as possible. We THANK

everyone for their sacrifices and generous support!!

THANK YOU for HOLY WEEK & EASTER!!! Once again, our parish was truly Blessed in the celebrations

of Holy Week and Easter!! On behalf of Msgr. Healy, Fr.

Gesson and all our parishioners, we thank ALL those who

helped to make all of the Liturgies so beautiful and

prayerful! We thank all of our Leaders and Rectory Staff,

Ministers, Lectors, Ushers, Altar Servers and Volunteers.

We thank all the volunteers who helped to clean the church

on the Tuesday of Holy Week. Also, we thank Mr. Harris

and all the members of our Choirs for leading us in song.

We thank Mrs. Ines Cordero and all those who helped to

decorate the Church, as well as Jeronima Aguilar and all

those who helped in the Sacristy. We thank Rolando Salinas

and all those who prepared and participated in the outdoor

"Via Crucis" (Stations of the Cross) & our Youth Group

Leaders and members, especially Mr. Noel Vasquez and

those who were part of "Pascua Juvenil" (Youth Easter).

Also, we thank the Police Officers and Auxiliary Officers of

the NYPD 72nd Precinct who were with us for the outdoor

Stations of the Cross with St. Agatha's and OLPH before

Holy week and with our Parish procession on Good Friday.

We also thank all who contributed in the purchase of the

Easter Flowers this year. May God continue to Bless our

Parish and Community and especially Bless ALL those who

YOUTH RETREAT, SUNDAY, APRIL 15TH The Charismatic Catholic Prayer group of St. Michael’s

invites all youth to a youth retreat titled “Youth are Called to make a Difference” on Sunday, April 15th from 1:00pm-

BROOKLYN CATHOLIC YOUTH DAY

The Diocese is inviting all Youth to “Brooklyn Catholic Youth Day” on Saturday, April 21 from 9am-5pm at St. John’s

University (8000 Utopia Parkway Jamaica, NY 11429). Any

youth interested to attend please call the rectory to register

($20 to register).

U.S CITIZENSHIP EXAM PREPARATION CLASSES Industry City is offering Free classes to lawful permanent U.S.

residents to prepare for the citizenship application process,

interview and test. Citizenship/ESL classes offered on

Thursday evenings, 6pm-9pm beginning late April at Industry

City Innovation Lab 87 35th St. between 2nd and 3rd Ave.

YOUTH BASEBALL - CAMP FRIENDSHIP "Camp Friendship" is a community Youth Baseball Program

for Boys and Girls Ages 5 - 15, games and practices are held

in Prospect Park and other Fields in the Park Slope and Sunset

Park area. Scholarships are being offered to young people

from St. Michael's in the 5/6 year old and 14/15 year old

divisions. Families who are interested should contact Camp

Friendship as soon as possible (preferably this week, April 9 -

13). For more information, to register, or inquire about

STUDENTS & PARENTS

There will be a meeting on Sunday, April 22nd at 8:30am in

Spanish and 10:30am in English for all Confirmation Students

and their parents in the school auditorium. Attendance will be

taken, please attend this important meeting.

CONFIRMATION CONFESSIONS There will be Confessions for students who will be receiving

the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday, April 26th at

7:00pm in the Church.

BÉISBOL JUVENIL - CAMPAMENTO AMISTAD "Campamento Amistad" es un programa comunitario de

de Park Slope y Sunset Park. Se ofrecerán becas a jóvenes de

San Miguel en las divisiones de 5/6 años y 14/15 años de edad.

We are off to a good start for this year's Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA). Through the material

that has been received in the mail, almost sixty

(60) parishioners and families have made a

Pledge or Gift to the ACA. 51 Parishioners have

already completed their pledge or made a "one

time gift" for a total of $6,800 and another eight

parishioners have made pledges, totaling $2,340,

of which $248 has already been paid. In the

coming weeks we will be giving more

information about the ACA and the need for

every parishioner to try to help in some way, as

we strive to not only reach our Diocesan Goal, of

$39,000, but to surpass our goal, in order to help

with the Renovation of our Pope Francis Parish Center. On the Weekend of April 21st and 22nd

we will be making an in-pew Appeal, asking all

parishioners who have not done so already, to

consider making a Gift or a Pledge to the 2018

Annual Catholic Appeal.

Blood Drive-Sunday, April 29 Your donation, can help as many as three people in area hospitals. Come and help

give the gift of life. From: 8am-2pm in the School’s Auditorium

(entrance: 43rd St. Between 4th & 3rd Avenues)

Estamos en un buen comienzo para la Campaña
