I have become the face of fear: Bipasha BasuBipasha Basu seems to have become the common face of horror films. After “Raaz 3″, she will be seen next in Suparn Verma’s “Aatma”.“I have become the face of fear. I don’t mind being a trend setter. Horror is a genre of entertainment and if it has the producers and the audience, then why not,” she said at the launch of the first look of the film held here Monday evening.Talking about the horror films which she has been a part of, the actress clarified that all of them had been different in their own way.“Each and everyone of them has had very different roles,” the actress said.Basu added that it was the script and screenplay of the film which attracted her to take it up.“While I was listening to the narration, I thought the film would be fabulous. The script and screenplay attracted me,” she said.Talking about the genre of horror, Basu feels that it is at its nascent stage at the moment

I’m the most imperfect man: John AbrahamActor-producer John Abraham, currently busy promoting his film “I, Me Aur Main”, says he is the most imperfect man.“I am not perfect. I am the most imperfect man. Any man who says that he is perfect, trust me, it’s a lie. I have tried. I have lied… I am trying to be a better human being,” John told reporters at “I, Me Aur Main” press meet. The entire star cast of the film was present at the promotions including Chitrangada Singh, Prachi Desai and Goldie Behl. The 40-year-old says “I, Me Aur Main” is a tribute to all women.“The film is releasing on March 1st and March 8th is Women’s Day, so this film is dedicated to all the women. It’s a tribute to women,” he said.Describing his kind of girl, John said: “Definitely, she will be simple. The beauty about any relationship is its simplicity. Just settle down with the one with whom you have a connection.”In the film, Prachi will be seen as the-girl-next-door and finds similarity between her and her

character. “The character is the closest to my heart. There’s a

lot of me in it. It was coming out very naturally.”

and has a lot of potential.“I feel that horror is at the nascent stage at the moment. We can do so many different things with horror as a genre,”

she said.Directed by Suparn Verma, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui opposite Bipasha Basu.

Some Kashmiri and other separatists protested at Pearson Convention Centre, Brampton while waving Pakistani flags. The venue was hosting the Republic Day of India celebrations held under the aegis of the

Consulate General of India and Panorama India on 27th January 2013. Peel Police denied the media, some of whom were members of the South Asian Press Club of Canada, to take the photographs of the protesters and this raises a lot of questions, such as is the establishment in Canada

favouring the protestors? The above pictures were taken later from facebook.

Diverse CanadaMinister Kenney Pays Tribute to Black Canadians

in Law EnforcementAs part of Black History Month, all Canadians are invited to take part in recognizing the achievements of black Canadians who work in law enforcement, Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney announced.“Black Canadians have made significant contributions to all areas of Canadian life, and this year we are focusing our celebration on the contributions of past black pioneers and present leaders who have done so much to serve and protect our communities,” said Minister Kenney, at the Canadian War Museum for the launch of Black History Month.Among the participants at the event, Minister Kenney celebrated the attendance of Devon Clunis, who last year became Canada’s first black Chief of Police. The Minister also recognized Lori Seale-Irving, who was the first black woman to become a commissioned officer in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The launch event also provided an opportunity to honour the courage of one black Canadian hero who this past year went beyond the call of duty and heroically saved three lives in Ottawa. For his brave actions, Minister Kenney presented Abdulkadar Mohamed Dualeh with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.“These inspirational stories

remind us of the significant contributions that black Canadians have made throughout our shared history,” said Minister Kenney. “I encourage Canadians to celebrate Black History Month by participating in the many events that will take place across the country and by learning more about the law enforcement pioneers that we are honouring today.”Newly appointed Citizenship Judge and Guyana native, John Dennison, led the audience in a reaffirmation ceremony. The Canadian citizens in attendance got the chance to repeat the oath of citizenship and express their continued commitment to our great country.Since 1995, Canada has celebrated the legacy of black Canadians every February as part of Black History Month. To discover more stories and learn about the black community, visit the Black History Virtual Museum at cic.gc.ca/blackhistorymonth.Follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/CitImmCanada

service which demonstrates our Government’s approach to smarter border management and making travel easier for Canadians,” said Minister of

State Gosal. “Thanks to the close partnership between the GTAA and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), Canadian citizens

and permanent residents now have a convenient new option to clear the border at Toronto Pearson.”“We are excited to introduce the ABC kiosk program to Toronto Pearson, starting with Terminal 3 now and launching in Terminal 1 in a few months,” said Pamela Griffith-Jones. “We worked very closely with the CBSA to bring this technology to Toronto to give Canadians and permanent residents a self-serve option for expediting the customs process that we know will contribute to an overall positive experience at Toronto Pearson.”ABC uses self-service kiosk technology to partially automate the processing of Canadian citizens (with a valid Canadian passport) and permanent residents of Canada (with a valid permanent resident card) returning to Canada. The self-service kiosks are easy to use and do not require preregistration by travellers or payment of any membership fees.Eligible travellers, who choose to use an ABC kiosk, should have all of the necessary documents on hand when they approach the kiosk, including the CBSA Declaration Card, their Canadian passport or Canadian permanent resident card, and all receipts for purchases made abroad. To use the kiosk, the traveller activates the kiosk touch screen, scans their travel document, inserts their completed CBSA Declaration Card and answers a few clarifying questions as required. Once finished at the kiosk, travellers present their printed kiosk receipt and travel document to a border services officer at the next checkpoint for a verification of their identity and validation of their travel documents. The ABC kiosk allows up to four travellers residing at the same address to be processed in a single transaction if they are all identified on the same

By the end of March 2013, travellers arriving at Terminal 1 should also be able to choose an ABC kiosk to streamline a portion of their

border clearance process. The launch of ABC at Toronto Pearson is an important step in the continued expansion of this secure and innovative service. While this innovative technology is new to Toronto Pearson International Airport, it has already proven to be enormously successful in Vancouver and Montréal.

Hillary Swank feels touched by IndiaHollywood actor Hilary Swank had spent a few weeks in India in 2006 as a teaching assistant and caregiver at an orphanage in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. And the Hollywood star has revealed that the incredible experience not just touched her then, but has remained with her through the years.“I was going through a challenging time in my life and it felt like I just needed to get outside of myself and be reminded that there are other people struggling too. So, I went to India for five weeks. I worked with children in orphanages and schools,” she said in a recent TV interview, and added, “It was one of the most incredible experiences and I am still to this day, really touched.” Hillary SwankHer India experience, as well as her work in films, has taught her much about life, the 38-year-old shares. “I’ve learned many things. I think one is that I continually learn that I need to be less judgmental. I think I’m not. But, I’m constantly reminded to be more open-minded and that there’s so much more that I want to learn about — I know we keep

everybody,” the 38-year-old recently said in an interview.Asked if being tough helps in the world of Hollywood, she said, “No. As an actor, you have to wear your heart on your sleeve and you have to be very open. You can’t ever be closed off or you cut yourself off from the very emotion you need to play characters.”Swank will be next seen in a movie with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones, and another film called Race to Save Nome.

Bollywood bait on TV reality showsEvery season, a fresh group of Bollywood celebrities come to television to judge or host reality shows. Vivek Oberoi, Tusshar Kapoor and Neha Dhupia are the latest to make the journey from Bollywood to TV as judges. Many others have come before them, but very few have made a lasting impression, or been able to generate record-breaking TRPs.Of course, the exceptions are Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan. These two superstars have delivered consistently with their respective shows Kaun Banega Crorepati and Bigg Boss.Perhaps the reason other stars haven’t been able to crack the code is because they think of TV as a stepping stone. It’s easy money, as reality shows last three months at the most; it’s also less taxing on their schedules, as they need to shoot one or two days a week.Having a Bollywood star on a TV show used to be a unique selling point years ago. Now, with almost everyone having

appeared on the small screen, it isn’t a surprise anymore. Besides, the charisma and screen presence of a certain actor and his/her ability to connect with the audience is a big factor. Jumping from

one show to the other is also counterproductive.Sonali Bendre, Farah Khan, Maiaika Arora Khan are personalities who are frequently seen on TV, but the viewer associates with them

for their individuality rather than the reality show they feature in.In fact, very few actors have been able to become the face of a show. Can you imagine KBC without Amitabh, or Bigg Boss without Salman? With many faces repeated on

different reality shows, what’s interesting then is seeing well-known stars you don’t get to see much of otherwise. So, seeing an impressive Madhuri Dixit in Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa, which she has been doing for two seasons in a row, or a Juhi Chawla who hasn’t been

seen much TV, or waiting for Sridevi or Rekha to debut on TV, is exciting. At the end of the day, film stars are in demand on TV only if they generate curiosity and guarantee that a certain loyal fan base will tune in regardless of the show.

a special episode of TV series Hum Ne Li-Hai Shapath.“Shooting for an episode of series Shapath where my character from Special Chabbis will feature,” the 43-year-old tweeted. The series comes on Life OK and when approached,

the channel confirmed the news.In the beginning of his career, Manoj worked in Tigmanshu

Dhulia’s TV series Hum Bambai Nahin Jayenge and Swaabhimaan and after the success of Satya, he shifted his focus to the big screen.Last year, he was seen in much appreciated films like Anurag Kashyap’s crime thriller Gangs

of Wasseypur, Prakash Jha’s Chakravyuh about Maoists problem in the country, and historical drama Chittagong.Manoj is playing a CBI agent in his forthcoming film Special Chabbis. The heist drama directed by Neeraj Pandey, also stars Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher in the key roles. Kajal Aggarwal and Jimmy Shergill are also part of the impressive cast.

I’ve made mistakes, but I’ve no regrets: Neha DhupiaBollywood actress Neha Dhupia, whose career has been a mixed bag so far, admits she has made mistakes in her career but says she doesn’t regret any of them. The former Miss India has been a part of popular films like “Kyaa Kool Hai Hum”, “Shootout at Lokhandwala” and “Singh Is Kinng” as well as duds like “Sheesha” and “Paying Guest”.“I have made mistakes, but they are not regrets, and I don’t want to talk about my mistakes,” said Neha in an interview.“There is no such thing as wrong films. A mistake could be not waking up in the morning and going to the gym, or if you are rude to someone or someone misunderstands you. I am not god, so I am not perfect. But there are no regrets,” she added. The 32-year-old admits she has turned down many offers that she thought were not suited for her.“I got many opportunities, but I didn’t want to be a part of them. Sometimes you can’t relate to something or you feel you are too young or old to do something.“I have refused a lot of work. It is not like I reject work, but I don’t agree with some things at times. I just feel that roles should add value to me also. If it’s a great role and even if there is one scene, I will do it,” she said.

Neha entered the film world after a brush with modelling. She says models are not very good actors, and there are better actors than her in the industry. However, she doesn’t believe in competing with anyone.“There are better actors than us (models) in the industry. Everyone has a (different)magic and I feel that you can only last those many years and get those many more films. Maybe my magic doesn’t come across that much, but everyone has something. There is something special about me, maybe not as much as someone else,” she said. The actress said she loves being

a part of the film industry, and that having a star parent would have made it easier for her.“It is easier when you have a parent in the industry… you have someone who is selflessly guiding you. If I had a godfather, things would have been different, but even if it is not there, it is okay. I love being in the industry,” she said.Neha also added that she doesn’t agree with stereotypical assumptions about the industry being tough on girls.“People say the industry is a certain way and it is tough for girls, but I have never encountered anything like that…My morals are very high,” she said.

Deepika Padukone praises Saif Ali Khan, says he’s encouragingAfter having worked with Saif Ali Khan in four films, Deepika Padukone describes him as a supportive co-star with whom she enjoys working.“Saif is a very encouraging and entertaining co-actor. He has a great sense of humour and it is always lovely working with him,” said Deepika. The 27-year-old, who made her debut with “Om Shanti Om” in 2007, first worked with Saif in the 2009 hit romantic-drama “Love Aaj Kal”, in which their on-screen chemistry was appreciated by the audience. Two years later, Prakash Jha’s “Aarakshan” saw them as the lead pair and they teamed up again in last year’s release “Cocktail”.The popular on-screen couple also featured in the recently

released action thriller “Race 2″, their fourth outing together,

which opened Jan 25.

Babies are your biggest strength, biggest weakness: Vivek OberoiVivek Oberoi, who became a proud father of a baby boy Feb 6, is completely in love with his son and reveals how he hasn’t even slept in the last 48 hours.“These babies are your biggest strength and biggest weakness also. They cast a spell on you when you look into their eyes. When I first looked my son in his eyes, I felt like I could do anything for him,” the 36-year-old, who is married to Priyanka, said here in an interview.“Normally, when we have to leave for a shoot, we try to sleep for an extra hour,” said Vivek and added that nowadays while going for work, he wakes up two hours earlier so that he can “hold” his son and “spend time with him. So you feel if you have them, you have everyone”.“Similarly, they are your weakness. I haven’t slept in the last 48 hours because I was worried about my baby as he was having hiccoughs. This is the first time I have felt this way, I haven’t slept for a long time,” added Vivek.

He has finalised a name for his son.“Yes, I have thought of a name but we will announce it only after a puja. It will start with

‘V’.”Vivek’s next release is “Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story” that also stars Neha Sharma and hits theatres Friday.

Esha Gupta is back to college! With three releases in 2012 and more in the offing this year, Esha Gupta has a lot going for her. The sultry actor who has been nicknamed the Indian Angelina Jolie, thanks to her resemblance to the Hollywood star, has also managed to gain considerable popularity among younger fans. Now wehear that Esha has been receiving requested from several colleges in the north to visit their campus as a guest of honour. Known for her sensuous roles in films such as Jannat 2 (2012) and Raaz 3D (2012), it is not surprising that most of the invites that Esha has received are from boys’ colleges. “She has been approached by several institutions in Delhi, Chandigarh and Rajasthan. Many of these are also all- boys colleges,” says a source.Ask Esha about this and she says, “Yes, I’ve been invited to colleges for their annual day functions. I’m happy they think I can be a part of it. I’m considering going to a few of them. It’s good to see today’s youth participate in something where they can showcase their extracurricular activities.”

A former Miss India, Esha might also be working on the Indian version of Lara Croft:

Tomb Raider. She will also be working on her third film with the Bhatts this year.

“I would like to thank UTV for this. It’s a great moment for all the people who loved Yash uncle and the people who are associated with the family. We will all miss him,” a visibly teary-eyed Rani told reporters.Chopra died Oct 21 last year due to dengue. He was 80.The statue shows Chopra with his trademark cap and camera and it has been unveiled by the late filmmaker’s wife Pamela Chopra and younger son Uday Chopra.Pamela, who has sung songs

in her husband’s film, said: “I want to thank UTV for this initiative because people forget… We all tend to do so. But with this statue, we will

not forget him. I really like the statute, especially with this favorite cap and his camera.”A veteran filmmaker, Chopra initially made social dramas like “Dharamputra” and “Waqt” and thriller “Ittefaq”. Later, he gave hit romantic sagas “Daag”, “Kabhi Kabhie”, “Silsila”, and “Chandni” and the success of these films earned him the sobriquet The King of Romance. An emotional Uday said his father will be “remembered for his work”.

He added: “I have seen him live, so it’s a different feeling. And as rightly said, now his admirers can touch him and feel him.”

The statue will be put up at the UTV Star’s Walk of Stars at Bandra Promenade Feb 15 along with those of Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand and Shammi Kapoor whose memorable avatars in a statue form have already been installed for the fans. Others from the film industry who attended the unveiling included Shatrughan Sinha and his wife Poonam, Poonam Dhillon, Parineeti Chopra, and Prem Chopra. Many of them shared their experience with Chopra.

Tia’s Talk with Bollywood Dancer & Actress Bhavna Pani - The Lead in ‘BHARATI’ at Sony Centre Toronto

Bhavna Pani is a Bollywood actress and model. She has also learned Contemporary Modern dance and is also trained in Kathak and Odissi. She is an exquisite and talented dancer and actress. She is most famous for being the heroine of Bharati The Show - the most succesful Bollywood musical in many countries. I had a chance of talking to her while she is here in Toronto for her Show BHARATI in Toronto at Sony Centre on 9th -10th Feb, 2013.Where were you born and raised?I was born and raised in Mumbai. The heart of Bollywood cinema. I did my education and dance training here as well. How do you think the environment you were in and your surroundings shaped for what you do now?My environment was definitely very conducive to my choice of profession. My father,

UdayShankar Pani is a film maker himself and I have grown up on sets of movies, like

‘GANDHI’ that he would work on. But inspite of all this, my family wasn’t in favor of me

having a career in performing arts. But I was very clear about my choice and finally they had to relent to my persistence. What led you to realize that you wanted to be involved with music and performances and wanted to be an actor and performer?I was training in Indian classical dance and music since the age of 6yrs. So I was fairly young, in my early teens, when I decided that I wanted to choose performing arts as my career. My mother always said, that I had learnt to dance before I began to walk...

so I guess, it was a part of my DNA. Although, I became an actor by chance, as movies was never my goal... but things just happened for me and I ended up working in films at a very young age. But my ultimate dream was to always be on stage and be recognized all over the world as a complete performer. How do you think you are impacting the south asian community around the world with your work?I think , with a show like ‘Bharati’, I am just trying to encompass the authentic

essence of India. And I try to bring that to the audiences here. So that they can get either get initiated or re-connected or simply just feel proud of belonging to such a rich cultural heritage. My job is to be the face of India, like a mini ambassador, both on stage and off- stage.Who are your favorite dancers and performers.?My inspiration are legendary Gurus like Late Kelucharan Mahapatra (Odissi) and Pandit Birju Maharaj (Kathak). In Bollywood, only two actors inspire me- Mr.Naseeruddin Shah and as a dancer Madhuri Dixit. What are you currently working on? What do you have in mind for the near future?I am currently working on a new venture on stage, which will be announced by our producer Mr.Deshe very soon. I also just completed my Diploma couse in Contemporary Dance from Terrence Lewis Academy. Apart from that, back in India, I am busy doing films and modeling in TV commercials.

Advani creates history, enters pre-quarters of Welsh Open

Delhi Daredevils swap Taylor for Nehra

Pankaj Advani on Wednesday created history by becoming the first Indian cueist ever to reach the pre-quarterfinals of the BetVictor Welsh Open Pro Snooker Series, defeating former world champion, England’s Shaun Murphy, 4-3 at Newport, Wales.Eight-time world champion Advani, the only active player to compete at the highest level in both billiards and snooker concurrently in the same season, reigned supreme at the green baize to enter the Round of 16, where he would be facing either 2006 world champion Graeme Dott of Scotland or Ireland’s Fergal O’Brien.“I’m ecstatic about this win. Defeating a player of Murphy’s calibre, that too in a main event, requires one to play out of his skin. I guess that’s what happened!” Advani said.“The atmosphere was electrifying. Competing at such a high level and with family and friends all over the world watching live makes you realise you’re part of something massive. A grand occasion requires a grand approach,” added Advani, who became the youngest Indian ever to win eight World titles in any sport, following his World Billiards title triumph in October last year in Leeds. In the match between Advani and 2005 world professional snooker champion Murphy,

Pacer Ashish Nehra returns to the Delhi Daredevils squad for the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League as the franchise swapped him for Ross Taylor in the ongoing players trading window.Ashish Nehra was part of the Daredevils squad in the 2009 and 2010, after playing the inaugural IPL season for Mumbai Indians. He was bought by Pune Warriors India in the 2011 auction, but missed the season due to injury.“Ashish Nehra will constitute an integral part of our bowling attack in the 2013 season. We were the best team at the league stage in 2012, and with a player like him around, we are confident that we will go the distance,” TA Sekar, Head (Cricket), GMR Sports, said. The Pune franchise will be Taylor’s fourth IPL team as he represented Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first three seasons, before playing a

season each for Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Daredevils.“We are elated to have a

batsman like Ross Taylor in our ranks. He will add muscle, panache and of course, experience, to our middle order in the forthcoming season,” Sushanto Roy, Managing Director, Sahara Adventure Sports Ltd, said. The only other player transfer to have taken place this season is that of T Suman from Mumbai Indians to Pune Warriors India.

Cricket is first love of actors, I may play next year: Salman KhanBollywood superstar Salman Khan, who was guest of honour at the opening ceremony of the third edition of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), is happy that actors are doing well on the cricket field and says he may hit the ground next year. The month-long tournament began Saturday.“I may play next year. The disadvantage with actors is that we are very busy. We have very long hours of work. In spite of all this, they are playing well. This is because cricket is their first love,” Salman told reporters Saturday, at the end of the second match here. The 47-year-old, riding high on the success of his blockbusters like “Bodyguard”, “Dabangg” and “Dabangg 2″, said he plans to travel with the team to different venues. He is happy that people are getting hooked on to the CCL tournament.“It is a good thing that people are getting hooked on to this. It is great that actors are playing good cricket. It is a good combination of acting and cricket,” said the actor who would undertake a long-delayed trip abroad for treatment, which he had put off because of his acting schedule and the blackbuck poaching case in court. Salman is suffering from trigeminal neuralgia and aneurysm. The patient in this condition suffers acute pain in his head, cheeks

and jaws. Salman had revealed to the media that he had the first attack of pain in the left side of his face during the making of his film ‘Partner’ (2007) and that the pain came back while he was shooting

for ‘Veer’ (2010). He has now been suffering from the pain continuously since last year.In 2011, Salman underwent a surgery in the US for the painful condition.

the 27-year-old Bangalorean started with a bang in Frame 1, putting his opponent under pressure immediately with some exceptional potting to win it 75-15.Murphy bounced back though in the second with a break of 71 to pocket the frame 100-10. Advani replied with the highest break of the match, a 121 clearance, to take back his lead in the third frame and then widened the gap with a 51 break to secure the fourth. The match was all class with breaks and quality safety play. From here on, Murphy took the attack to his Indian opponent by winning the next two frames to enforce the decider. What looked like a one-sided affair in favour of Advani turned out to be a cracker. The Englishman gathered enough momentum to tip the odds in his favour entering into the seventh frame but it was

Advani who used his billiards prowess to make Murphy commit mistakes and concede points through fouls.Advani then hit the final nail in the coffin with a well-crafted 36 break before Murphy surrendered the match at 64-15.The commentary team was all praise for Advani’s display of world class snooker being a billiards expert. This is Advani’s first professional season.Advani had defeated former world champion Peter Ebdon 4-3 to enter the draw of 32 in the Welsh Open.Earlier this season, he defeated some of the big names in the Pro circuit like Steve Davis, Jimmy White, Nigel Bond, Alan McManus, Michael Holt, Mark King, Ryan Day and John Higgins to stamp his authority on the professional snooker world.

MOVIE TALKSanjay Dutt’s Zila Ghaziabad in title troubleThe locals of Ghaziabad have moved court against actor Sanjay Dutt’s next film, Zila Ghaziabad, protesting against the subject of the film. They believe that the movie will dent the image of the city and provoke the youth to enter crime.Parmarth Samiti, the local organisation that’s opposing the movie, has threatened that if the scenes and dialogues defaming Ghaziabad are not replaced, then the agitation will grow more intense. The police, on the other hand, has no interest in backing them. “Agitating and bringing the city to halt is not a smart solution. We will take action against anybody taking the law in their own hands,” says Ghaziabad SSP Prashant Kumar. The film’s director, Anand Kumar, is also fuming. “It’s rubbish because I am not defaming the place. Once the film releases, the place will come into the limelight. Otherwise who is bothered about Ghaziabad? This is a place from where revenue is generated through taxes, but no one knows about it. My question to them is that if they have not watched a single frame of the film, why are they commenting on it?” he asks.Anand also counters the allegation that the city is shown in bad light. “Once they see the film, they’ll be more than happy. I have showd the

Here’s some good news for all movie buffs. PVR is set to host an Oscar Film Festival, where it will screen movies

Uttar Pradesh police as one of the finest police forces in the country. Sanjay Dutt plays a cop who comes to Ghaziabad to eradicate the long-drawn gang fighting that has been on for years. That’s what the film is about,” he explains.Claiming that he is ready to fight any objection against the

film, Anand says, “I heard that a case has been filed against the film’s writer and me, but I haven’t received any intimation about it.”The film, featuring Vivek Oberoi, Arshad Warsi and Minissha Lamba along with Sanjay, is expected to hit theatres on February 22.

Akshay Kumar-Karan Johar to finally team up!A few weeks back, Akshay Kumar made a statement in jest: “Karan (Johar) doesn’t take me in his films. He probably thinks I’m not good enough.” Call it a coincidence or just a stroke of luck, but we can confirm that the two will now be working together for the first time. By the start of next year, Akshay and Karan will collaborate on a film jointly produced by the former’s Hari Om Entertainment and the latter’s Dharma Productions. Punit Malhotra will direct it. Karan says, “I’ve wanted to work with Akshay since a long time. It’s amazing how the deal has come through so quickly. I met him at his gym, and we sat on the floor to discuss the nitty-gritties of the contract. We struck a deal in barely five minutes.”And the filmmaker doesn’t deny that Akshay’s comment may have triggered off the process.“Actually, it may have started rolling after that. We met at a party, and what started off as a joke has turned into something serious,” says Karan, who has known Akshay’s wife, Twinkle Khanna, since they were kids.He adds, “Akshay has a

strong grip over stories and screenplays. He’s very clear about the way he wants things to be. The film is going to be a very hard-hitting, mainstream commercial venture with an edge.”It will also star another male actor, who the makers haven’t decided upon yet. “We are far from casting a girl as well. The film hasn’t even been titled yet.

For Punit, this is going to be a departure from his style of filmmaking,” says Karan.Apparently, Punit has been working on this script for over a year now. He will start work on this film after completing his other project, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, which stars Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra.

There were plenty of reports which suggested that both of them couldn’t take their eyes of each other the whole time and suspected that something might be brewing between them.Samantha though was quick to defend her relationship with Siddarth as being nothing more than professional. She finds it as a bit of a monotonous routine that the media cooks up matters such as this for nearly every project that she’s involved with. She and Siddarth are working together on a Telugu film titled Jabardasth and it will be dubbed in Tamil as Dum Dum Pee Pee.

Rana will boost Anushka’s value !Anushka Shetty has done a few heroine centric roles in the past like Arundhati, but her upcoming film Rani Rudrama Devi will be in a whole new different level. The film is being earmarked as India’s first stereoscopic 3D film and the concept is based on the story of a real life individual with an inspiring tale.Apart from having the likes of Thotta Tharani for art, Ilayaraja for music and Neeta Lulla for costumes, the latest addition to this grandiose team is Rana Daggubati. Trade analysts believe that the inclusion of Rana in the film will boost the overall value of the film to greater heights.

Save Marriage - 5 Vital Tips You Cannot Do Without!Have you been searching for information on the best way to rescue a marriage, but can’t appear to find anything further than fuzzy suggestions about learning communication skills, not criticizing, forgiving each other? Well, sure, those tips are wonderful, but there is a good deal you can try now to help make things far better. Although many of these measures for how to rescue a marriage take some time, they’re all things you can begin carrying out right away.1. Take a cooling off phase!Regardless of whether your significant other has just told you they want a divorce or you’ve been speaking about it for quite a while, a cooling off period is going to do both of you some good. Take about a week to get away from each other and get together your emotions. This is not the time to make a laundry list of your “future ex’s” issues if you really want to save marriage! Rather, concentrate on recalling the reasons why you fell deeply in love with your spouse to begin with and think through a few peaceful, respectful approaches to address the problems when you see each other once more.2. Work on your personal challenges!Of course, you’ve got issues, too. Sorry. And these aren’t just problems between the two of you, but issues related to any kind of emotional baggage you brought into the marriage, too. In the event that you’re having a cool down timeframe, that’s a great time to work on these problems, although you shouldn’t expect to sort out any serious problems in such a short space of time.Keep in mind, as well, that you have to be careful about assigning fault,

particularly when your spouse has been violent or verbally abusive. While many trained counselors

who realize how to save a marriage will remind you that it “takes two to tango,” don’t begin thinking you “made” your partner behave in certain manner.3. Sort out conflicts! If you’ve already taken your cooling off time frame and given some serious thought to the way you could be adding to the conflict, put aside several continuous hours to talk things over. In the event it seems like you always end up in shouting matches each time you are trying to work things out, you might want to carry this out inside a marriage counselor’s office. A unbiased third party experienced with how to save a marriage can really help keep matters sane so you can make some genuine improvement. You have to make the effort if you really want to save marriage!4. Spend quality time together with each other! Not shelling out adequate quality time with each other is often what starts marriage problems in the first place. Subsequently once the

relationship is really on the rocks, you spend more and more time apart. Luckily, it’s an easy pattern

to reverse. Find something you both enjoy executing, so long as you can talk to each other while doing it, and schedule a period for the activity at least twice per week.5. Have Patience! Most genuinely useful advice on, “how to save a marriage” won’t present you with rapid solutions that you can get done in one day, but a great deal will give you tactics you can at the very least take a look at straight away. Whether you think that you require a short break from your companion to ease tensions or maybe you just need to give attention to each other a little bit more to prevent things from really deteriorating, there’s always something you can do today to begin in the appropriate course. Are you trying to save marriage? Learn tips on how you can save your marriage and prevent an unnecessary divorce, especially if you are still in love because the ones most affected are the little children!

I am very strict: Madhuri DixitOne of the best actresses in tinsel town, Madhuri Dixit is very strict when it comes to health issues and adds she is quite good at multi-tasking too.“I am a multi-tasker. I can do two things together. I am very strict with myself and my kids too. I handle my diet and I am responsible for my health,” she said in an interview.During her long and successful innings in the filmdom, she churned out hits like “Tezaab”, “Beta”, “Dil”, “Dil To Pagal Hai”. However, her comeback film after her marriage with the US-based doctor Sriram Nene “Aaja Nachle” turned out to be a damp squib when it hit the theatres in 2007.The 45-year-old has now moved back to India along with her husband and two sons – Arin and Raayan. She regained her popularity as the judge of dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa” and has now bagged two important films – “Dedh Ishqiya” and “Gulaab Gang”.Asked her about competition, she said: “I have never believed in that. I do what I like and I enjoy it.”What are your strengths?“I am a very hard working person. I am creative. I like to dance and act. I love whatever I am doing,” said the actress.Talking about her two

Studies first, says Imran KhanImran Khan seems to be taking his image as a youth icon very seriously. The actor recently ticked off a bunch of young fans who had bunked college to watch him shoot. He is currently on location in Pune for Milan Luthria’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again (OUATIM 2).A source claims, “As the shooting location is close to a girl’s college, many students would end up gathering around for a glimpse of Imran. Young girls would stand and wait for hours till he finished his shot. Imran did acknowledge theiraffection and he chatted with them. He even obliged them with autographs and photos. But he insisted that they don’t bunk their classes and lectures. He urged them to go back to class and told them to come back only during their breaks. The students were thrilled with his concern, so they did as asked.”Imran’s spokesperson confirms: “Yes, college-going girls did hang out around our

shooting location, which was their way of showing their love for Imran. But he was happy that they heard him out.”

In OUATIM 2, the actor will play the role of a gangster and is sporting a unique look with a moustache.

Sonam Kapoor goes desi for RanjhanaaSonam Kapoor has always been hailed as a fashionista. But the actor, who is often seen wearing high-end brands both on and off the big screen, is soon set to sport a non-glamorous Indian look. In her next, Ranjhanaa, Sonam will be seen in ethnic wear. In fact, director Anand Rai signed the actor on the condition that she leaves behind her glamorous image and submit to a no make-up, subtle look.Producer Krishika Lulla says, “Sonam has always been synonymous with runway fashion, but in Ranjhanaa we needed her to play a simple girl with middle-class ambitions. Her Indian look in films so far too has had a touch of international styling. However, in Ranjhanaa, she was professional and got into the character, whether it was donning a simple kurti or a uniform. She completely gave in and transformed into the character Zoya.”The director adds, “Sonam was in sync with the idea of playing this girl from the word ‘go’.
