prior to the 5PM Mass. Please join us. Mary Queen of Peace, pray
for us.
………………………………………………………………….. DANA ESCORZA will be blessed in
Spanish at the end of the Sunday liturgy, October 7th. She is
turning 3 years old October 9th, and it is the Mexican custom to
bless their child at the age of 3. Just as Mary was presented in
the temple at the age of three, so our Mexican community presents
their child in our temple for a special blessing on their third
birthday. Please pray for Dana and her parents and her new baby
brother, Camden Randy. ………………………………………………………………….. WE WOULD LIKE TO
THANK all of those that participated in set up, preparation of
food, serving and cleanup for the Desmond funeral luncheon.
Additionally, we want to thank all those that contributed salads,
sides and desserts. Your food donations were so greatly
appreciated.
God Bless, The Funeral Committee …………………………………………………………………..
PRAYERFUFL HANDS SHAWL MINISTRY will meet Tuesday at 1PM in the
Learning Center. …………………………………………………………………. BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
will take place Friday, Oc-tober 12th at 12:30PM under the

member to Church for this special day and blessing set aside just
for them.
…………………………………………………………………. WHERE ARE THEY NOW? You just don’t
want to give up those items that are tucked away in the plastic bin
or box. Why not give them a “second chance” at life and consider
donating them to our Second Chance Treasures Sale taking place in
June, 2019. We are accepting donated items for the sale on Fridays
between 10AM and 1PM. Those items include furni-ture, small working
appliances and miscellaneous items you no longer want or need.
Please NO CLOTHING AND NO OLD LARGE TELEVISION SETS will be
accepted. Thank you for thinking of us. …………………………………………………………………..
PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL will be purged each month. If you want a
name in the Prayers please contact Howard Platz at 389-0335 or via
email at [email protected].
DID YOU RSVP YET? Friday, October 19th starting at 5:00PM you
are invited to an appreciation picnic thanking all of our
parishioners for their support and contribution to our parish life.
The picnic will take place out at the pavilion, and all you have to
bring is your dancing shoes! Music will be pro-vided by our very
own DJ David Mastifino! You will feast on your choice of grilled
hamburgers, hotdogs or a chicken sand-wich and sides with your
choice of soft drinks, water and tea. You may also bring your own
beer or wine only. A sign up sheet is on the Bulletin Board in the
Commons! Mass on that Friday will be at 4PM followed by the Divine
Mercy Chaplet. ………………………………………………………………….. STEWARDSHIP OUR WAY OF
LIFE. Next weekend is our Stewardship Fair. Please be sure to stop
by the booths set up by our different ministries and committees,
and learn about their work in the parish and our community. Where
best can you use your time, talent and treasure to continue God’s
work in the Mission Field? …………………………………………………………………. STEWARDSHIP
will meet Monday at 10AM in the Com-mons followed by EVANGELIZATION
at 11:30AM. All are invited to join us and learn about our work in
God’s Vineyard. ………………………………………………………………….. ANGIE HARRIS BOWLING A
HUGE SUCCESS. A spe-cial thank you to all of the St. William
parishioners who volun-teered at the 14th Annual Angie Harris
Bowl-ing Tournament. We had 90 bowlers this year, and the success
of this annual event is be-cause of our many volunteers. A special
thanks to the
Ladies Guild and the Men’s Club for their generous donation.
