Today’s Meditation Today’s readings urge us not to spoil, but to make good use of our limited time on earth. Ecclesiastes reminds us that because God provides for us now and always, we can manage our daily affairs without anxiety. Saint Paul encourages the Colossians to keep thoughts of heaven in
everything they do, and Jesus himself asks us to treasure not earthly wealth, but God alone.
In recognition of God’s love and presence in every human being, the members of Saint Stanislaus Parish embrace the challenge to serve God and all His people. In fellowship with one another, we nurture our Catholic Faith through the celebration of the sacraments and reflection on the word of God. As a welcoming and culturally diverse Faith Community, we strive to proclaim and live the good News of Jesus Christ while providing for the spiritual and physical needs of those less fortunate.

Evangelization News!

The Church Is Holy (Eph. 5:25-27 Rev. 19:7-8, CCC 823-829)
By his grace Jesus makes the Church holy, just as he is holy. This doesn’t mean that each member is always holy. Jesus said there would be both good and bad members in the Church (John 6:70), and not all the members would go to heaven (Matt. 7:21-23). But the Church itself is holy because it is the source of holiness and the guardian of the special means of grace Jesus established, the sacraments (cf. Eph. 5:26).
Please join us for the Stations of the Cross in the Via Crucis Garden

Can you Help?
If you can help with some of the mowing on the church grounds, your time would be greatly appreciated. The flower beds around the church also need some attention. If you are interested in helping out with some weeding or watering, especially in the Via Crucis Garden, please feel
encouraged to do this on a timetable that’s convenient for you! Questions? Need guidance? Please contact Rebecca at 910-675-2336, or Larry Cash, [email protected]
Faith Formation 2019-2020
It’s that time of year again! Registration letters and forms for our 2019-2020 Faith Formation program have been mailed to families registered in the program last year. Religious education is available to children from Pre-K thru 9th grade. Please return your completed form upon receipt along with your payment written to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Teaching materials will need to be ordered so please return the form ASAP. Classes will be held after Mass on Sundays, 10:15 AM – Noon, starting September 8th. If you are a new or current parishioner and have children you’d like to enroll for the first time, please go to our website: www.ststanislauscatholic.org to fill out a registration form online. Click on the Education tab. Then click on Faith Formation. Print the registration form and fill out ALL information. Submit the completed form to St. Stanislaus (along with payment). The fee for the class is $45. Please write Faith Formation on the envelope and drop in the collection basket during Mass. If you have not yet registered as a parishioner, you may do so on the website as well. We ask that all families registering children for our Faith Formation program be registered parishioners of St. Stanislaus. For all new students we will need a copy, front and back, of your child's Baptismal Certificate. Please include that along with the registration form and payment. For more information please contact: Maria Stanley, (DRE) at 910-612-7287
Bereavement
After many years of service, Regina Kapral is stepping down from heading the Bereavement Committee. We sincerely thank her for those years of service. The new head coordinator is Pat Krzyzewski, The Bereavement Committee is an expression of sympathy from St. Stanislaus Parish when a parishioner has a death in their immediate family. The committee, along with other volunteers prepares food and serves the funeral luncheon if it is requested. We are looking to update our current list since some volunteers are no longer with us. If you would like to volunteer in any way, whether cooking, set up of clean up, please call one of the numbers listed below to let us know what you are willing to do. Our hope is that if we have enough volunteers we will not need to call on them for every funeral. This ministry is one of the most caring ministries as it allows us to help those who need a comforting meal and a loving social time with their family and friends. You may contact Pat Krzyzewski at (607) 727-3488 or Helen Rice at (910) 604– 2499 or Teresa Forman at (914) 805-2339.
Thank You!
