holidays and once again thank you for another great
term.
Staffing Update
Mrs Brewer is reducing her hours for the remainder of this year and will

to assist with Year 2B and will work Thursday and Friday.
Mrs Osling is taking extended leave and is due to return in Week 6 of
Term 3. Mrs Brown will continue teaching Year 1G in her absence, except
Week 1 as she has a family holiday planned.
Miss Shanahan is still on reduced hours due to difficulties with her voice
and will be working 4 days for at least the first 4 weeks of Term 3. Mrs
Lisa Ellwood has agreed to assist with Year 5 on Wednesdays during this
time.
Behaviour Management/PBL
The staff at St Patrick’s is currently reviewing our Behaviour
Management/PBL Policy. As a result there has been one immediate
change which is ‘NO HAT NO PLAY’. If your child doesn’t come to school
with their hat, then they will have to sit down during recess and lunch. If
there are any spare hats around, they are welcome to borrow one and
return it at the end of each session. Can I ask that parents remind their
children of this new step for next term.
Over the coming weeks there will be other changes made. Once we have
finalised this policy, parents will be invited to an information session.
Parenting Sessions
We have two great parenting sessions available for parents next term.

FROM THE MUSIC ROOM with Mrs Suzie Morris
MUSIC TOGETHER EVENING: My heart was singing! What a wonderful evening we had sharing and celebrating the musical talents of our St Patrick’s students.
Thank you to our families who came along to watch and listen and for continuing to encourage our beautiful students to practice and stick with their music endeavours – your encouragement and support goes a long way! It was such a lovely and supportive atmosphere which allowed our students to perform (some for the first time ever!) with confidence and grace.
Students, you should be so proud of yourselves and continue to share your love of music with those around you.
CONCERT CORNER
Preparations are well underway for our concert next term - details will be revealed early Term 3!
We will need the assistance of parents with costumes, props and some organisation. If you are a keen sewer, washer, screen printer, painter, or all around handy person please send Suzie Morris an email at [email protected] (if you haven't already) and we can allocate you a job - many hands!!
The St Patrick’s choir, Chorestra, spent the day at St Joseph’s on Wednesday singing with the St Joseph’s and Holy Cross choirs. St Joey's choral director, Philip Rees made learning new songs and techniques so much fun and we laughed and sang our way through the morning!
It was wonderful for the St Pat's choir to hear the voices of the big kids (high school!) and work with them on new material. It was also a treat for us to listen to the choir from Holy Cross perform in the afternoon - as a choir we are often the ones performing.
With over 100 voices singing together we then performed for family and friends in a mini-performance and what a beautiful sound - such a blessing to be part of this wonderful opportunity.
