We the faithful of St. Mary Mystical Rose Parish are a Catholic Community in the Archdiocese of Detroit. We serve God through His Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, with the empowerment and the

strength of the Holy Spirit: to celebrate the Holy Sacraments and Worship, Christian Service and Faith Education, to evangelize and practice our faith in active stewardship--with the faith, spirit

HAPPY THANKSGIVING As we gather together as family and friends around the

dinner table, we are reminded that each and everyone

of us are loved and important. Each member forms the

unit of a domestic family built on love, respect, and

endowed with dignity from our Lord.

Thanksgiving is gratitude for the gifts and the bless-

ings of each member of the family. Thanking Mom

and Dad as the head of the household. Parents provide

and hold the family together. They provide and make

sure that the physical, mental, and the spiritual need of

the children are provided for. On the other side, chil-

dren contribute to the good welfare of the family. They

fulfill their chores and assist in ways they can to help

the parents in the household. Grandparent is a blessing

to have. Their wisdom, love, compassion, and guid-

ance is a gift itself. Good friends are a joy to have

around the table on Thanksgiving! They are a part of

your family in good times and bad times.

Thanksgiving Day also remind us when we gather

around the “Table of the Eucharist” at Mass. Eucha-

rist is Thanksgiving to God! When we gather around

the Altar of God’s splendid love outpoured to us, we

thank God for His divine blessings in our lives. We

thank God for He is the reason why we breathe, move

and have our being. As well as, we thank God for

those who are kind, generous, compassion, bring us

joy and peace.

Thank you Parish Family for your love and

faith in God. Thank you for your blessings

and gifts. Thank you for being good stewards

of God’s manifold grace. Thank you for your

ministries and services. And above all, may

the Lord be praised, magnify, worshipped,

honored and thanksgiving for all that we are,

because He loves us.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Amen.

We’re following our di-

rective to “Encounter Jesus,

grow and go!”

It is amazing to think that it is almost Thanksgiving and Advent will be here before you know it. Please consider being a prayer intercessor for one of our children preparing for 1st Reconciliation/1st Eucharist or Confirmation. Please take either an angel or a dove from the bulletin board and ask the Lord to strengthen the faith and conversion of the person you are interceding for.

Our Children’s Liturgy of the Word is held at the 9:30 Sunday Mass. Children from pre-school to 4th grade are welcome to come join us. Children are also asked to bring a non-perishable food item for our pantry at the offertory time.

Please start saving your returnable bottles and cans for our Faith formation Advent drive. Boxes are in the lower Narthex starting November 18. We will be raising money to buy farm animals for impoverished families in partnership with Food for the Poor.

God Bless

Denise & Kim Religious Education 586-784-5966 ext 106 or 107

Don’t forget your Non-Perishable food item for our Food Pantry. It can be taken up to the Alter at collection time.

PRAYERS NEEDED Please take a prayer card off of the “Pray for Us Board”

for one of our Sacramental Students
