Welcome to St. Joseph the Worker St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church is a faithfully formed welcoming community, alive with love for God and
one another. We have an unwavering focus on Christ and are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities as members of God's family by sharing and proclaiming the faith. Day by day, we are working toward our goal of growing a
vibrant Catholic community of faith for all by embracing our blessings and generously sharing of our time, talents and treasures.
At the time of this printing, the Finance Report for September 5 & 6 was unavailable. Please see the updated report in next week’s
bulletin.
A community of Catholic men, founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, to bring financial aid and Assistance to those in need. Please contact Mark Kern, Grand Knight, at 913-894-5074 for more information.
Even though Bishop Rice encourages all to return to Mass; The Dispensation from the obligation to
attend Mass continues until further notice. While livestreaming Mass, please pray the Act of Spiritual
Communion.
PSR PARENTS Let me begin by assuring you of my prayers during this time, especially as school starts up again. Let us pray
for one another and thank God for our parish. Following are a few announcements regarding
the beginning of PSR [Parish School of Religion]. In-Class Sunday PSR will begin in mid-September.
PSR, la educación de los niños, comenzará a mediados de septiembre.
Another option is to do PSR on your own at home; more details attached.
O, si prefieres, puedes enseñar a tus hijos en tu hogar; detalles adjuntos al correo electrónico.
If you haven't already, please fill and return the attached PSR form, indicating whether you
want PSR in class or at home. We need to know numbers for the year so we can order books.
Por favor complete el formulario y devuélvalo. También digas en el formulario si deseas PSR en
clase el domingo, o en tu hogar. As a parish, one of our tasks is to assist parents in the faith education of their children. This year we will have
two options for PSR: In-Class or At-Home. The details about these are in the
Inserted document, "PSR Plan 2020-2021." Also attached is the PSR registration form (more copies in the gathering space). I ask that you get these forms in
as soon as you're able. All of us are called to faith in the Son of God, Jesus
Christ. Faith in Him, listening to His Word, and receiving His Sacraments is what leads us to joy, peace, and eternal life. It's the Lord who forgives us, saves us, gives us life, gives us purpose, and gives us the grace to fulfill what He asks of us. Let us continue to pray for one another and give God continual thanks for our
parish.
May God bless you, Father Andrew Williams
