ANNUAL MINISTRY APPEAL Each year the Diocese has an annual ministry appeal. This appeal sustains the work of many important offices within the Diocese such as clergy formation, religious education, seminari-ans, tribunal, youth camps/youth ministry and others. The annual ministry appeal is different from the capital campaign and serves different needs. The goal for our parish this year is $20,037. Any funds raised above that amount are returned directly to the parish. Many of you have already received a letter from the Bishop about the appeal. If you have not yet had the opportunity to make a pledge, please take an envelope from the table in the back of the church. Thank you for your generosity.

DAY OF RECOLLECTION The Secular Discalced Carmelites invite you to join us for a Day of Recollection on Saturday, March 18 at Assumption Parish in Fern-dale. Fr. Thomas Reeves, OCD, will be the retreat master. The topic for the retreat will be Remember You Are Dust – A Day of Prayer and Reflection on the Four Last Things: Death, Judgment, Hell, and Heaven. Bring a brown bag lunch. Drinks and dessert will be provided. In the Carmelite tradition, we will spend the day in silence beginning at 9:30 a.m. with Morning Prayer followed by Mass. The retreat will end at 4 p.m. with Evening Prayer. Come spend some quiet time with God. Questions? Call Alan or Ginny Fox – 725-6930.

The Order of Secular Franciscans is collecting individual-sized containers of soap, shampoo and conditioner to be distributed to the homeless. These items are usually collected during our stays at hotels and motels. A basket will be placed in the narthex to hold these things. They will be dispersed to the Eureka Rescue Mission, St Jo-seph Pantry, the Betty Chinn Center and other groups who hand out such items. Please help us add a bit of dignity to their lives through this gesture. Many thanks and God Bless You.
