If you would like to run contact Sue Augustin 771-9078. Anyone in need of a ride call Marylee 244-7475. The Altar & Rosary Mass will be Sunday, April 12th at 8:30 am. We will pray the rosary together beginning at 8:05 am. The Mass intention will be for all living & deceased mem-bers of the Society on Sunday April 5th. We will be providing the meal for the St. Joseph Shelter on Sunday, April 19th. DJ 285-2466 will be coordinating this. Call her if you can help.

St. Anthony’s next Women’s CRHP weekend retreat will be on April 11-12,

KofC Food Bank Weekend-Please help those in need, April 19th & 20th, by bringing non-perish-able food items to benefit the Bidwell Food Bank and cash donations to support the Des Moines Area Religious Council Food Bank. The Knights of Columbus will be at all of the doors before and after each Mass collecting for this worthy cause.

A Big THANK YOU to everyone who helped clean the church last time. The next date to clean is April 11th @ 9am. Please meet in the church. This is a great way to earn service hours.

Are you desperate for respite? Let us be your anchor! On Friday, April 10th,

from 6-9 PM St. Francis of Assisi in West Des Moines is hosting a respite

night for families of children with special needs. Parents will remain in the

building to enjoy a social, wine tasting with registered sommelier, and an in-

spirational message by Dr. Daniel Earle from Glen Haven Counseling Re-

sources. Professional and trained volunteers will be present for children and

young adults with special needs and for their siblings. Pre-Registration by

Attention All Women: The 86th Annual Convention of the Des Moines Diocesan

Council of Catholic Women will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the All Saints

Catholic Church in Stuart, Iowa. It will begin with a continental breakfast at 8:00

a.m. with a brief business meeting beginning at 9:00 a.m. The keynote speaker will

be Theresa Romens, Faith Formation Director from Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Par-

ish in Glenwood, Iowa; who will be our morning and afternoon speaker. The theme

for this year is “Voice of Catholic Women United in Truth.” Bishop Richard Pates will cele-

brate Mass at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch at noon. The day will conclude by 3:00

p.m.

All Catholic women are encouraged to attend this spiritually uplifting day!! The cost

is $15 per person if paid by April 4 or $17 after that date or at the door. The cost

includes the continental breakfast and lunch. Please send your reservations with a

Attention all persons who are inter-ested in or are already serving as lec-tors and/or extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion. We are in need of additional liturgi-cal ministers at all Masses as well as for Holy Communion to the home-bound. We will be offering a training session Saturday morning, May 9th at 9:00 a.m. in the church for both ministries. This workshop will be kept brief yet con-cise . There will not be another oppor-tunity for training until this fall. Thank you for considering demonstrat-ing your faith by participating in these spiritually fulfilling liturgical ministries.

The Bishop Drumm Garage Sale, held every Thursday from May through September, is in need of good used household items, including furniture and décor, good used clothing, shoes and books for its weekly May to September sale. Items can be dropped off at Bishop Drumm April 16th from 9-1 or by calling the Bishop Drumm office at 270-1100 after April 16th.

Franciscan Common Venture – a volunteer program sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Dubuque, Iowa, provides the opportunity for per-sons age 20+ to contribute their time, commitment and talent in service among people who are poor.
