Seems like time is just flying by. Last month we had our first Adopt-A-Road clean-up of Old Dixie Hwy for 2020. What a turn out!!! A BIG thank you to the 21 people who showed up early Saturday morning to help out. I believe that was a record number of volunteers, at least since I have been in- volved. With all the help we were able to clean from New York Avenue all the up to Sun- West Park. Also, a special thanks to Kevin McNaught for offering to help out our mow- ing crew. The SPCA board is looking for ways to improve security in the Sea Pines community. At the last SPCA general meeting in January we threw out the idea to create a Neighborhood Crime Watch here in Sea Pines. Speaking to the Sher- iff’s office I learned that the ter- minology “Crime Watch” is no longer used and the protocol has changed a bit. Nonetheless, I was happy to see a unanimous interest and approval for this type of program from our mem- bers. I am pleased to welcome Deputy Ron Buzzetto from the Pasco County Sheriff’s office as our guest speaker for the meet- ing in February. This is your op- portunity to ask the officer ques- tions about this program or per- haps other concerns you may have. We will learn about our responsibilities as residents as well as how we pass on suspi- cious activity and information to the Sheriff’s office. I invite all residents of Sea Pines (members or not) to attend this upcoming meeting on Wednesday February 19 th . Cheers, Randy

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN FEBRUARY
February is upon us….Cold weather but not as cold as up north…. Thanks to God for that! So with all this cold weather it is important to remember to cuddle with someone special! Valentines Day reminds us to love those near to us. Those who are always around, and sometimes we forget to recog-nize how important they are in our lives… the people who are always there to pick up the pieces, or just share a piece of chocolate cake (or maybe a big bowl of ice cream) when times are tuff! The people who we share laughs with when times are sweet….. Love all your friends, and all those who make your life so special.
The Women’s club tries to plan new and exciting adventures each month & we are always looking for new ideas…. Join us, and Share yours! We look forward to new faces, and I know that there are new residents in the community, so come on out, meet some of your neighbors, and make some new friends! We will be happy to have you join us.

But we all know that cookies are at their best with a big glass of cold milk, or a cup of hot cocoa! Be indulgent!
