Precise.S+S systems have gained respect worldwide, in companies of all

sizes and in a wide variety of business sectors. In the food industry

S+S systems play a major part in compliance with stringent Food

Safety and Hygiene standards. In plastics processing S+S metal

separators have helped reduce moulding machine nozzle blockages

by as much as 80%.

In the manufacture of chipboard using S+S systems has enabled

the level of recycled wood to increase from 10% to as much as100%. In the glass industry S+S sorters help make the processing

of recycled glass commercially viable; the use of pure, single-

coloured fraction cuts energy costs by up to 30% and produces

a superior end-product.

S+S separating and sorting systemsare used in a wide variety of appli-cations: for loose and packaged goods,

for fibrous and granular materialsand for powders, pastes and liquids.S+S systems identify and separatemetals of all kinds: ferro-magnetic,aluminium, lead, brass, copper andstainless steel.

They sort materials and productsaccording to type, colour or chemicalcomposition. S+S inspection systemsalso identify and remove sub-standardproducts from the production process.

S+S has a specific solution forpractically every type of conveyingsystem, including conveyor belts,gravity or air feed, bulk materialcolumns and many others.

Our customers have direct accessto technical service staff based inover 50 sales offices and agenciesthroughout Europe and the Restof the World. The customer can relyon support at every stage of hisproject. Working closely with thecustomers own production expertswe help identify the critical factorsinfluencing the inspection or de-tection process. Specific tests canbe undertaken at the S+S TechnicalCentre. Our experts will advise on

the specific suitability of systemsand when required can make trialsystems available to simulate actualoperating conditions.

Before commissioning we make surecustomers staff are fully trained.Follow-up seminars are held regularlyfor users who wish to broaden theirknowledge of the equipment andprocesses.

The internal S+S organisation is geared to versatility, frompurchasing through to production, and can respond quickly

and flexibly to meet customer requirements. Approximately

80% of the systems supplied by S+S are modified or specially

developed to meet customers individual needs.

Special solutions are allocated to dedicated project teams.

The technical sales representative for the customer is an

integral part of the project team to ensure that the solution is

engineered precisely in accordance with the customers

requirements.

Design and production are closely linked with short lines of

communication; this ensures that even complex designs are

handled efficiently.

Over 80 technically qualified staff, highly experienced in

dealing with challenging projects, regardless of complexity,

are directly involved in the production process.

All production stages are monitored by a complete quality

management system, using high-precision testing equipment.

On the rare occasion that no suitable testing apparatus

is available on the market then S+S develops its own, for

example our opto-electronic test equipment was designed

and built in-house.

This all-embracing quality control process ensures that S+S

systems operate continuously to the high standards our

customers expect.

All core mechanical and electronicassemblies are developed andmanufactured in-house by S+S andwe have all the necessary equipmentand facilities from laser cuttingof critical mechanical componentsto our own surface finishing.

Specific high-technology componentsand larger quantities of standard
