    Run Baseline Plaza connected to SSS WRF – 5 more in line

    Continuing to work with distressed system owners to interconnect to AWT facilities

  • Septic Tank Abatement FDEP cooperatively funded a 2009 Silver Springs

    Water Quality Report Identified package plants and high concentrations of

    septic tanks within 5 miles of Silver Springs Prioritized abatement actions SSR – SSS force main is the first step Targets phases for septic tank removal near and around

    the Springs – CRA, CBDG, and other cooperative funding required to implement

    Proposed legislation may provide $378M in funding

  • Successes Marion County Utilities has spent in excess of $53M to:

    Upgrade all operating facilities to AWT standards Regionalize wastewater operations Offset ground water withdrawals with reclaimed

    While reducing operating costs from $15.3M to $11.4M Improved Bond Ratings Reduced customer rates

    2013 National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) Environmental Achievement Award winner

    FRWA also named Marion County Utilities Best Tasting Water – represented Florida in national comp.
