Feel as-if your eyes are ‘floating’ across the words of each sentences following your pacer and down the slippery-slope of each paragraph. Practice your ‘sweeping-flow’ physically.

Read for ideas, thoughts, and meaning – not individual words. When you read holistically, you become a master of Read for ideas, thoughts, and meaning – not individual words. When you read holistically, you become a master of the ‘context’ of the paragraphs.

Use an Association Matrix or other right-brained method to record the ‘gist’ of what the writer’s main ideas and salient details. Fill in your summary-sheet for review and long-term memory recall.

What is Comprehension?

Comprehension is understanding what you are reading while you are reading it.

A reader knows intuitively whether or not they have experienced comprehension.

If comprehension is taking place, the story or data being read will "feel" like it is making data being read will "feel" like it is making sense.

The reader can anticipate the process under discussion and experience the train of thought.

Comprehension will differ between individuals since it is dependent upon the various meanings they have formally attached to words.

Comprehension

It is the sum of the thoughts one generates in response to the words or symbols on a page.

The more information you have stored in your brain, the better the material will be understood. understood.

When we can put the material we are reading into a familiar context because of something we already know or have experienced, then we have created an association and comprehension is heightened.

In other words, the experience of comprehension and understanding is recognized through thinking. And this thinking is done while you are reading.
