ENGINE COMPARTMENT ACCESS. Thenon-metallic hood on the 950H hasbeen redesigned and restyled fromprevious models. Side and top panelsare stronger due to more robustreinforcement ribs - the change incontour also adds to rigidity of thehood.
A single mechanical lift cylinder withmanual back-up opens the hood. Thetilting hood provides excellent access tothe engine compartment, and ifnecessary, the entire hood can beremoved with the built-in lift points.
With the hood closed, quick checks ofengine oil levels and the coolant sightgauge can be completed through theside service doors.
Panels located behind the tires lift upand can be removed for additionalaccess. Roading fenders hinge from therear and swing out allowing easieraccess to the engine compartment.
ELECTRIC PRIMING PUMP. An electricfuel priming pump located on theprimary fuel filter base eliminates theneed to pre-fill or manually prime filtersafter a change, eliminating enginecontamination.
ECOLOGY DRAINS. Engine, transmission and hydraulic oils can beeasily drained with standard-equipmentecology drains. An axle oil ecologydrain is optional.
COOLING SYSTEM. Cooling systemaccess for clean-out and maintenance isoutstanding. The perforated andcorrugated grill minimizes debris build-up and swings out for easy cleaning andaccess to the cooling cores.
The full-width air conditioningcondenser and oil cooler cores swingout 45° to allow easy cleaning of therear radiator face. Access panels oneither side of the radiator supportstructure provide access to the frontface of the radiator and ATAAC coresfor easy cleaning.
CAB. The entire operator station can beremoved in about 45 minutes and iseasy to re-attach. Quick disconnects areused so no wires need to be cut and norefrigerant is lost.
Cab cleaning is made easy withchannels on the cab floor and nothreshold at the door - the floor can beswept or mopped out easily.
WINDSHIELD CLEANING PACKAGE. Anoptional windshield cleaning packageconsists of two steps for the loader frontframe, two additional handrails and afolding mirror. This package allowsaccess to the entire front windshield foreasy cleaning.
COMPLETE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Catfield service technicians have theexperience and tools necessary toservice your loader on site. Technicalexperts at the dealership and Caterpillarcan provide additional assistance tofield service technicians as needed.
