Vocabulary Hat ParadeWe will be having a vocabulary hat parade on February 21st. Here are

some ideas to get you started thinking about what you want to do!

Your first step…Think of an interesting word you want to study. It can be a word you saw in a book or a word from Science, Social Studies or Math. If you can’t decide on a word, your teacher can help you.

On February 21st, we will parade with pride!

Vocabulary Parade!

•You will march in the cafeteria proudly holding your head up and showing off your word!

•You will look closely at all of the other marchers so you can learn some new vocabulary words. You will need to learn at least 3 new words!

•You will be respectful of others as they march.

•Enjoy the parade!

Before the parade, you will present your word to your class.

You will need to tell:

•The meaning of your word.

•Part of speech.

•Any interesting fact your learned about your word.
