IntroductionThank you for purchasing the new eMini-Wright with the eMW software - eMW Soft. It should help provide you with relief from your respiratory symptoms. The eMini-Wright with eMW Soft is a single patient peak flow meter and software, which has a facility to record the patient data to a Microsoft Windows PC.There are two versions of the eMini-Wright:

1. eMini-Wright with USB port and eMW Soft software – (part no: 3210001). When using eMW Soft the patient can monitor their condition on a PC.

2. eMini-Wright without USB port - a lower cost eMini-Wright. – (part no: 3210000).

Both the eMini-Wright with eMW Soft and the eMini-Wright can be used to manage conditions such as Asthma, COPD and other respiratory conditions by determining the medication levels you need, which will be set by your Physician.

Both versions can be used as a stand-alone device.

Please note: It is not possible to upgrade eMini-Wright to eMW Soft version.

Software features:1. Tables showing ‘good blow’ and ‘slow start’ results that can help your Physician set your medication levels and identify good/bad medication delivery technique. 2. Graph showing trends over time using a traffic light zone system. 3. Manages recordings over weeks, months and years. 4. Exports data to Microsoft Excel and other programs. 5. USB connection to PC allowing recorded results to be downloaded from the eMini-Wright. (Cable not supplied).

Please Note: It is most important to set the P.C. time/date correctly, as the eMW Soft uses the P.C. time/date to calculate the eMini-Wright measurements.

• If taking many measurements within 5 minutes, the results will be allocated the time of the first reading.

• The most recent reading will appear on the bottom of the results list.

• Only one eMini-Wright should be connected to the PC at any one time.

Red Zone STOP Less than 50% of best Medical alert. Seek immediate medical attention.

Fig. 15

Set your prefered format: The graph can be set to display weekly, monthly, 6 monthly or yearly’.

If the Green, Yellow and Red zones are not displayed, the reference value has been set to ‘none’ and the eMini-Wright reference is set at zero.

Appendix A Table of Predicted Values Predicted values are results from studies collected from around the world specifying details of effects of range, age, sex, ethnicity/country. These tables are reproduced from these studies for you to select the best study and to select your ethnicity/country.

Your Physician should select the best study for your condition.

The most suitable set will vary, depending upon the profile of the user/patient, including their age and ethnicity. Your Physician should tell you your predicted value. If this is not possible, you should set this to ‘none’. It is recommended that the most suitable predicted values are selected based upon these criteria. Please see the following predicted values (Fig. 19) to determine the most appropriate set of values to use for each patient.
