OUTLINE

• A comprehensive waste management model encouraging in-source

segregation

• Recycle whatever is possible to fund the process

• Whatever is not recyclable to be dumped in scientific ways

• Attacking the ills of the prevailing municipal waste collection

system

• Replicable modular approach based on townships

We have started from IIT Kharagpur campus and plan to diversify through other townships situated close to rural areas

CHANGES IN THE SYSTEM

Recommending people to use separate

trash bins: voluntary segregation.

Municipality trying to recycle everything:

government body, not suitable for business.

Waste lying on the road for long. Waste is

a liability, recycling is only a fashion.

Direct monetary incentive for segregated

waste to domestic consumer. Carefully

planned collection from commercial

consumer.

Business entity. Direct incentive of worker

to perform well.

Waste is the required raw material to

survive, recycling is utmost urgent.
