• The key to engaging your customers is to understand what they want from you.

• Your posts are the key, they have to be relevant, frequent and news or views your customer wants to be part of.

• Using events both business is a great way to create connections

• Use your Facebook page to create links to your blog, homepage and other branding platforms.

• Post comments and link backs to Twitter account.

• Twitter works on a slightly different level to Facebook

• Twitter is a real time update, Facebook is an event statement or message

• Twit Pic is a great tool for snap shots of what is happening right now its a live instant feed that gives consumers and clients a greater insight into how your brand works.

• It is all about interaction and constant updates • #tags / @mentions / following your followers and sharing common interests

• Once a following has been gained let them know what’s happening and share related news and goings on.

• Example tweet or re-tweet – news related to either your personal interests that mirror that of your brand or industry news that is relevant to you followers

• FS is a location based geo-locating platform• It tags you where ever you are when you log in • This means any place that has followers where you log in @0301consulting will

be on show to them.

• Example @Starbucks has 50,000 followers, @0301Consulting has 10,000 followers @brad_0301 has 1000

• @brad_0301 checks in @Starbucks enjoying a coffee with @0301consulting • @brad_0301 link has now been tweeted and Facebook updated to 61,000

followers • This is a perfect brand exposure tool

Blogging

• The purpose of blogging is two fold

• 1 ) It is a community extension of your website • 2) You can use it to either archive all your

adventures or become an authority in your field.

• Ideally you would use yours for both

• It is recommended that you should update your blog on a regular level, this means once you have established a following, fans look forward to your posts.

• Make sure once posted you share your blog on all your social platforms.

- One of the easiest blogging platforms is blogger or Posterous
