The landmark of Graz, namely the clock tower at Schlossberg, not far away from the main square! From here you can catch a stunning view over the red roofs and historic backyards and simply enjoy your day! By the way, in the middle of the rock of the Schlossberg, you can find the event location "Dom im Berg", next to the fairy-tale grotto. I like to go by bike to the basilica in Mariatrost, which by the way is one of the most

famous pilgrimage destinations in Styria! Surrounded by greenery, it's a great place to

have a picnic and enjoy nature. You can go back then through the Leechwald! Ideal for

students, as this is not far from the university!

Special Hint from a KUG Student:

If you want to relax in nature and do not want to leave Graz, you can visit the

Hilmteich. It is located near the University of Graz and the botanical garden and can be

easily reached by bike, tram or on foot. From late spring to autumn, the benches are

ideal places to read or simply the starting point for a hike through the forest. In winter,

as soon as the ice is thick enough, you can even skate on the water.
