More than FootballAmongst the sports and activities we offer are: football, tag rugby, dance, gymnastics, dodgeball, tennis, badminton, athletics, archery, multi-skills, basketball, handball, hockey, swimming (assisting), netball, rounders and cricket. In short we can cater for all your curriculum and extra-curricular PE needs throughout the year.

Working with Sport National Governing BodiesWe are working in partnership with a number of National Governing Bodies for sport, including the Rugby Football Union, Lawn Tennis Association, England Athletics, British Gymnastics and the Amateur Swimming Association to ensure our staff are appropriately skilled and deliver high quality sessions and activities.

A Designated Team

Your school will have one central point of contact throughout

the year and coaches will be allocated to your school, allowing

our staff to develop strong relationships with your pupils

and teachers.

We have 18 full and part time

members of staff, ensuring a

strong network of coaches,

supervision and expertise at

your disposal.

Sky Blues in the Community

is a registered charity

(No. 1127014), which

means that all funding and

income received is invested

back into grassroots

community sport.

The lessons and schemes of work offered link and

refer to the national curriculum, offering coverage

appropriate to age and ability while ensuring a

range of skills are taught and developed. We will

continue with this service for 2013-2014.

Health and Safety

• All staff qualified coaches • All staff have DBS enhanced criminal record checks• All staff have valid First Aid and child

welfare training• All activities and venues risk assessed

National Curriculum for PE

• Our sessions use sport, exercise-specific and multi-sport activities to meet the national curriculum for PE

• We will implement termly progressive coaching plans across all sports and activities

• Develop knowledge, skills and understanding within sports and our activities

• Encourage children to improve and evaluate performance

• Individual reports on performance and progress for each child

• Maximising cross-curriculum references and opportunties

• Equipment and resources supplied where necessary

Quality Assurance

• Termly meetings with your school coordinator to evaluate our performance and ensure your Ofsted reporting and information requirements are met

• Aligning our delivery and evaluation with AfPE best practice frameworks for Ofsted

• Attendance of our coach(es) at school parents evenings

Our Schools Work

In 2012 we worked with over 50 primary schools, coming into contact with over 15,000 children, bringing specialist PE knowledge to thousands of children across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Costs*

Our price structure offers discounts according to the number of coaches and number of sessions you may want each week. Our prices start from as little as:• £30 per morning for one coach (3 x 45

minute lessons)• £30 per afternoon for one coach (2 x

45 minute lessons)

• £25 per coach for an after school club

Added Extras

What makes us different from other providers? Apart from being a not-for-profit organisation, we offer a range of additional extras to our partner schools:• Package of teacher training days to up-skill school staff in PE and sport• Use of the Sky Blues in the Community

‘Partner School’ logo for your website and newsletters

• Regular competitions for Sky Blues Partner Schools

• CCFC player appearances• CCFC prizes donated to partner schools

for fetes and fundraisers• Coventry City match day ticket offers• Stadium tours• Free ‘Respect’ workshops• Support raising money for curricular and

extra-curricular activities with sponsored events, using our inflatable equipment
