Late Policy

Please submit all course assignments by the due dates listed on the course schedule below. If extenuating circumstances preclude an on-time submission of any assignment, please contact the instructor prior to the due date to explain your circumstances. The instructor may provide extensions if appropriate on a case by case basis. Unexcused late work reflects an inappropriate disposition for a teacher and may impact a student’s grade and or ability to continue in the course.

Observe 30 hours in your licensure area Must be signed up by Sept 8th (if not, drop the course) Can visit multiple classrooms /teachers

Must be arranged through TES http://education.odu.edu/tes/ Specific schools and teachers can be requested (comments box) TES will send a confirmation email

Must be completed to pass 301 Must be in an accredited school (public or private) Dress and behave professionally (Don’t be a “no show”!)

Call school, visit if necessary, to arrange schedule Submit time log and eval sheet for credit (posted on BB)

Praxis Core (not Praxis I)/VCLA (Teacher Exams)

Must TAKE (not pass) this semester to pass 301 (but, must pass Praxis or VCLA to be admitted to DCOE)

Think of three things about yourself: two that are true and one that is a lie

In a group of 3: Introduce yourself with your 2Ts and 1L. See if your classmates can detect the lie.

Afterwards: One of you will introduce us to your group including one thing about each of you – one of which is a lie. We’ll try to guess which.
