Palermo is the capital of Sicily, Italian is the fi fth largest city by population after Naples, Rome, Milan and Turin. It

comprises 26 municipalities. The Palermo area was originally a wide plain crossed by many rivers.

Is a Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the main Catholic place of worship

Markets are famous for the sale of the first fruits which come from the countryside Palermo. The oldest is ballaro,

then follow the market Vucciria and Capo.

Markets are used to selling fruit, vegetables, vegetables, meat and fish.
